Obituary:  Elhatton’s Funeral Home (Bathurst, NB):  Clothilde Pitre Lanteigne - Bathurst - Clothilde Pitre Lanteigne, 91, of Bridge St., Bathurst, passed away on Saturday (September 2, 2006) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst.  Born in Caraquet, she was the daughter of the late Francois Xavier and Clothilde (LeBreton) Mainville.  She was pre-deceased by her 1st husband, Philias Pitre and her second husband, Theophile Lanteigne.  She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.  She is survived by: Two sons: Charles Pitre (Rita) of Dunlop, Roger Pitre (Melita) of Bathurst.  Seven daughters: Simonne Boutilier (Lloyd) of Cumberland Bay, NB, Jeannine Babin (Cletus) of Miramichi, NB, Patricia Gallant (Oscar) of Dieppe, NB, Lorainne Harrison (Lloyd) of Vancouver, BC, Juliette Despres (Frank) of Miramichi, NB, Annette Boyd (Doug) of Trenton, ON, Edna Theriault (Donald) of Bathurst, 26 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.  She was pre-deceased by a son Ernest.  The body will rest after 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at Elhatton’s Funeral Home, Bathurst.  Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday morning (September 6, 2006) at 11:00 a.m. from the Sacred Heart Cathedral, St. Andrew St.  Burial will be in the Mount Carmel Cemetery, St. Mary’s Ave.  Visiting hours are Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 and Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until time of Funeral.

Marie Louise Simonne Pitre:  Times & Transcript (NB), 15 July 2010:  Simonne Louise Boutilier passed away at home in Cumberland Bay on Monday, July 12, 2010 at the age of 76 years.  Born in Bathurst, on March 4th, 1934 to the late Philias and Clotilde (Mainville) Pitre.  She is survived by her loving husband Lloyd, of Cumberland Bay; by six sisters, Pat (Oscar) Gallant of Dieppe, Juliette (Frank) Despres of Miramichi, Jeannine (Cletus) Babin of Miramichi, Lorraine (Lloyd) Harrison of Vancouver, BC, Annette (Doug) Boyd of Trenton, Ont and Edna (Donald) Theriault of Bathurst; by one brother Roger (Malita) Pitre of Bathurst; as well as many nieces and nephews.  Simonne is predeceased by her son David Lloyd Boutilier; by two brothers Ernest Pitre and Charles Pitre.  Resting at the Chipman Funeral Home until Friday, July 16th, 2010 when funeral mass will be celebrated from Saint Joseph's Catholic Church, Chipman at 2:00 p.m.  Reception to follow the service in the church hall.  The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Thursday, July 15th, 2010 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm.  Interment will be made at Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery in Dieppe.

 

Marie Patricia Pitre:  La Cooperative Funeraire:  Patricia “Pat” Gallant, 79, of Dieppe, passed away on Monday, July 17th, 2017 at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Center, Moncton.  Born in Bathurst, NB, she was the daughter of the late Philias and the late Clotilde (nee: Mainville) Pitre.  Pat was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and enjoyed special family gathering.  She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Oscar; three sons: Marc (Donna) of Moncton, Mike (Denise) and Jamie, both of Dieppe; five sisters: Jeannine (late Cletus) Babin of Miramichi, Lorraine (Lloyd) Harrison of Lake Country, BC, Juliette (late Frank) Despres of Miramichi, Annette (Doug) Boyd of Trenton, ON and Edna (Donald) Theriault of Bathurst; one brother, Roger (Malita) Pitre of Bathurst; two granddaughters: Melissa (Martin) McDonald and Jenica (Daniel) Cormier; one great-granddaughter, Maelle; two great-grandchildren in the near future as well as several nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by one sister, Simonne Boutilier and also by two brothers: Ernest and Charles Pitre.  Visitation will be held from the Chartersville Funeral Home, Dieppe, NB on Wednesday from 2 to 4 pm and from 7 to 9 pm ONLY.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from Sainte-Therese Roman Catholic Church, Dieppe on Thursday, July 20th, 2017 at 3 pm.  Interment in Notre-Dame du Calvaire Cemetery, Dieppe.  Donations to the CHU Dumont Foundation “Oncology” or to the Ovarian Cancer Society of Canada would be appreciated by the family.  The family would like to thank Dr. Robyn Comeau, Dr. Ghedira and Nurse Rachel Tremblay for the excellent care given to Patricia.

 

Joseph Charles Pitre:  Elhatton’s Funeral Home (Bathurst, NB):  Joseph Charles Pitre, 67, of Dunlop, N.B. passed away on Monday December 18, 2006 at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, after a courageous battle with cancer.  Born in Bathurst, he was the son of late Philias and Clothilde (Mainville) Pitre.  He will be sadly be missed by his wife Rita (Mazerolle) Pitre.  Two sons: André of Dunlop and Daniel (Rayma) Pitre of Moncton.  One daughter: Anne-Marie (Ralph) Ramkerrsingh of Ottawa, Ont.  One brother: Roger (Melita) of Bathurst.  Seven sisters: Simonne Boutilier (Lloyd) of Cumberland Bay, NB., Jeannine Babin (Cletus) of Miramichi, NB., Patricia Gallant (Oscar) of Dieppe, NB., Lorraine Harrison (Lloyd) of Vancouver, BC., Juliette Despres (Frank) of Miramichi, NB., Annette Boyd (Doug) of Trenton, ON., Edna Theriault (Donald) of Bathurst.  One sister law: Marielle of Bathurst.  Five grandchildren, Jason, Christina, Charles Robert, Matthew and Mellisa.  Many nieces and nephews.  He was pre-deceased by a brother; Ernest.  Mr. Pitre served in the Canadian Armed Forces from 1957 to 1987 and was stationed at: CFB Ottawa Ont., CFS Lamacaza, Qc, CFB Chatham, NB, CFB Bagotville, QC. and Baden-Baden Germany, after retirement from the CAF.  He worked as a security guard for the RCMP in Bathurst, 1987-1988 and was a Sales Distributor for the Atlantic Lotto Corporation from 1989-1996.  He was a member of the Herman J. Good VC Br. 18 Royal Canadian Legion, Bathurst.  The body will rest at Elhatton Funeral Home St. George St. Bathurst after 2:00 p.m. Thursday 21 Dec. 2006.  Funeral mass will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Cathedral St. Andrew St, Bathurst Friday afternoon (December 22, 2006) at 2:00 p.m.  Burial will be in parish cemetery later in the spring.
