Born at Beresford, he was a son of Alice (Aube) and the late Octave Pitre. He had been employed at Chaleur Regional Hospital, maintenance section, until recently. Besides his mother, he is survived by his wife, Mildred Spencer; four sons, Louis, Paul, Gilles and Philip Pitre, all of Beresford; two daughters, Mrs. Jacques Magny (Eleanor) of Paris, France, and Mrs. Roland Frenette (Jocelyn) of Beresford; four brothers, Alonzo of Saint John, Levis of Rocky Mountain, Alta., Eric and Donald Pitre, both of Beresford; four sisters, Mrs. Napoleon Roy and Mrs. Raoul Doucet, both of Beresford, Mrs. William Kamerman of Newcastle and Mrs. Gloria Godin of Ottawa, and by 13 grandchildren. Born in Petit Rocher, NB, Alonzo was the son of the late Octave and Alice (Aube) Pitre. He was raised in Beresford, NB and moved to Saint John where he married and started his family. Alonzo had many passions including hunting, fishing and traveling the Maritimes all with his loving wife Fabiola. He worked for G.R. Patstone before starting his own business, Pitre's Auto Body in Milford which he ran for over 35 years until his semi-retirement. Alonzo was also a member of the St. Rose of Lima Church. Besides his parents, he is also predeceased by his sister Mildred (Mrs. Napolean Godin) and two brothers; Norbert (Irene) and Martin (Mildred) all of Beresford, NB. Norbert Pitre: Le Voilier, Le Point, (Caraquet, NB), Tuesday, 28 August 1984: Mr. Norbert Pitre, residing at Beresford, N.B., died at the general hospital of Bathurst, 21 August 1984, at the age of 52 years. He was the son of the late Octave Pitre and Alice Aube. In addition to his wife, Irene Theriault, he leaves in mourning his mother Mrs. Alice Aube, a son at home, four daughters: Yolande, (Mrs. Andre Boudreau) of Beresford, N.B.; Geraldine, of Ottawa; Louise and Francine at home. Five brothers: Martin of Beresford, Alonzo of St. Jean, N.B.; Levi of Alberta; Eric and Donald of Beresford. Four sisters: Mildred (Mrs. Napoleon Roy) of Beresford; Violette (Mrs. William Kamerman) of Newcastle; Gloria, (widow Mrs. Gloria Godin) of Ottawa; Jeannine, (Mrs. Raoul Doucet) of Beresford, also two grandchildren. Mr. Pitre was a volunteer fireman for 16 years at Beresford and also a former player of baseball and hockey. The funeral was held in the church St. Nom de Jesus of Beresford, on 23 August 1984, at 7:30pm.

Beresford - It is with sadness and broken hearts that we announce the sudden
death of Donald Pitre, of Beresford, at the age of 81 years. Born
in Beresford, he was the son of the late Octave Pitre and Alice Aube.
Donald was a husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend to many.
A man of small stature, but of incomparable greatness. Family was always
his priority and he showed it with his unwavering love and support. Family
has always been his priority and he showed it with his unwavering love and
continuous support. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Marcella
(Henry) Pitre, 4 children: Rene (Brenda Robichaud Pitre), Lynn (Richard
Arseneau), Ricky (Julie Tremblay), Robbie (Carole Tessier Pitre) and his 12
grandchildren: Sebastien, Michele Anne, Bret, Alexandre, Maxime (late)
Samuel, Philippe, Noemy, Tristan, Mataya, Sara-Lynn and Daphney.
Survived by his sister Gloria Pitre, Donald went to join his brothers and
sisters and his grandson Samuel in heaven: Martin, Norbert, Levi,
Alonzo, Eric, Violet, Jeanine and Mildred. Throughout his life, Donald
was a devoted servant to his parish, a man dedicated to serving his community.
With both small and large gestures, he never hesitated to give his time and
energy to help his hometown. He volunteered for over 40 years as a
volunteer firefighter for the town of Beresford, including 25 years as fire
chief, and 7 years as a prevention officer. Additionally, he was a proud
member of the Beresford 4th Degree Knights of Columbus for 16 years.The family
will receive relatives and friends starting at 7 p.m., Wednesday, at the
Heritage Funeral Home of Beresford. The funeral will be celebrated
Thursday, November 2, 2023 at 4 p.m. in St.-Nom-de-Jesus Church of Beresford.
Visiting hours are Wednesday from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Thursday, from 2 p.m.
until departing for the funeral. In memory of Donald, donations to
St-Nom-de-Jesus Church of Beresford or a charity of your choice would be
