Joe Pitre had land from the Millstream River to the old guide room. He had given it to his children: his daughter (Mrs. Stanislas Haché) the land sold for the new church, as well as to José Pitre. Alonzo Alphonse Joseph Pitre: Brenan’s Bay View Funeral Homes (St. John, NB): Alonzo Pitre: The unexpected death of Mr. Alonzo Pitre, husband of Mrs. Fabiola (Gallant) Pitre, of Milford, Saint John West, NB, occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on January 15, 2003. Born in Petit Rocher, NB, Alonzo was the son of the late Octave and Alice (Aube) Pitre. He was raised in Beresford, NB and moved to Saint John where he married and started his family. Alonzo had many passions including hunting, fishing and traveling the Maritimes all with his loving wife Fabiola. He worked for G.R. Patstone before starting his own business, Pitre's Auto Body in Milford which he ran for over 35 years until his semi-retirement. Alonzo was also a member of the St. Rose of Lima Church. Besides his parents, he is also predeceased by his sister Mildred (Mrs. Napolean Godin) and two brothers; Norbert (Irene) and Martin (Mildred) all of Beresford, NB. Along with Fabiola, his wife of 50 years this September, Alonzo also leaves behind to mourn his children; Linda (Joseph Paulin) Pitre, Martin (Marta), Peter, Steve and Allan all of Saint John, NB as well as his brothers, Donald (Marcella) and Eric (Doris) both of Beresford, NB, Levis (Lenna), Rocky Mountain House, Alb., sisters; Voilette (Mrs. Wilfred Cameron), Newcastle, NB, Jeanine (Mrs. Raoul Doucette), Beresford, NB, and Gloria (Mrs. Richard Godin), Ottawa, Ont., three grandchildren; Andrew, Joshua, Jenna and great-grandson, Dustin, son-in-law, Gregory Elderkin, as well as several nieces and nephews. Norbert Pitre: Le Voilier, Le Point, (Caraquet, NB), Tuesday, 28 August 1984: Mr. Norbert Pitre, residing at Beresford, N.B., died at the general hospital of Bathurst, 21 August 1984, at the age of 52 years. He was the son of the late Octave Pitre and Alice Aube. In addition to his wife, Irene Theriault, he leaves in mourning his mother Mrs. Alice Aube, a son at home, four daughters: Yolande, (Mrs. Andre Boudreau) of Beresford, N.B.; Geraldine, of Ottawa; Louise and Francine at home. Five brothers: Martin of Beresford, Alonzo of St. Jean, N.B.; Levi of Alberta; Eric and Donald of Beresford. Four sisters: Mildred (Mrs. Napoleon Roy) of Beresford; Violette (Mrs. William Kamerman) of Newcastle; Gloria, (widow Mrs. Gloria Godin) of Ottawa; Jeannine, (Mrs. Raoul Doucet) of Beresford, also two grandchildren. Mr. Pitre was a volunteer fireman for 16 years at Beresford and also a former player of baseball and hockey. The funeral was held in the church St. Nom de Jesus of Beresford, on 23 August 1984, at 7:30pm.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our husband, father, grandfather and brother. Pete Pitre of Rocky Mountain House, AB, passed away on Friday, June 20, 2003 at the age of 65 after a courageous battle with cancer. The family moved to numerous locations across Canada before settling in Rocky Mountain House, AB in 1973. Pete lived life to the fullest. He loved spending time with his grandchildren, fishing and sitting around the campfire with his family and friends at Buck Lake. He will also be remembered for his love of animals and the ocean. Beresford - Eric Pitre, husband of Doris (Doucet) Pitre of
Beresford, passed away on Monday April 24, 2017, at the Chaleur Regional
Hospital, Bathurst, at the age of 77. Born in Beresford, he was the son of
the late Octave and Alice (Aubé) Pitre. He was retired after 35
years of service from the former Brunswick Mines, member of the Volunteer Fire
Department of Beresford for over 25 years and 3rd Degree member of the Knights
of Columbus, Council 8189, Beresford. Besides his wife, he is survived by
four children: Daniel (Lucia) of Beresford, Kevin (Patricia Carrier)
of Ajax, Ont., Brian of St-Marie-de-Kent and Monique Pitre (Patrice
Comeau) of Québec, Que. Four grandchildren: Danica, Joël, Sasha and
Joshua. One brother, Donald Pitre (Marcella) of Beresford and
one sister, Gloria Pitre of Gatineau, Que. Several nieces and
nephews. He was predeceased by seven brothers and sisters: Mildred,
Martin, Violette, Alonzo, Jeannine, Norbert and Lévis. The family will
receive relatives and friends at Heritage Funeral Home, Beresford, on Thursday,
April 27, 2017 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday, from 2 p.m. until time of
Funeral. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday afternoon April 28,
2017, at 4 p.m. from Eglise St-Nom-de-Jesus in Beresford. Donations in
memory of Eric can be made to the Palliative Care Unit of the Chaleur Regional
Hospital Foundation or a charity of the donors choice.
