Obituary:  Elhatton’s Funeral Home (Bathurst, NB):  Neldia Pitre (photo) 1917 - 2015:  South Tetagouche - Mrs. Neldia Pitre, 97, wife of the late Napoleon Pitre, of Foyer Chez Annie, Robertville and formerly of South Tetagouche, passed away on Saturday November 14, 2015, at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst.  Born in South Tetagouche, she was the daughter of the late Oswald and Rita (Doucet) Henry.  She is survived by four sons: Fidel (Linda Tremblay), Lionel (Linda) and Alvin (Sylvia) all of South Tetagouche, Valmond (Louise Vienneau) of Robertville.  Three daughters: Angela Sjonger and Marcella Bleadow (Steve) both of Brockville, Ont., and Desneiges Lavigne (Michel) of Bathurst.  21 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren.  Two sisters: Macrena Gallant of Fredericton and Dorina Henry Vancouver, B.C.  Several nieces and nephews.  Besides her husband, she was predeceased by three sons: Emmanuel, Napoleon Jr. and Godfrey.  Visitation will be held at Elhatton's Funeral Home, Bathurst on Wednesday, November 18, 2015 from 11:30 a.m. until time of funeral.  Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday November 18, 2015 at 2 p.m. from Holy Family Church, St. Peter Ave., Bathurst.  Donations in memory of Neldia may be made to a charity of the donors choice.

Napoleon Joseph Pitre:  Brockville Recorder & Times (ONT), Tuesday, 6 September 2011:  Napoleon Joseph (Nap) Pitre - Peacefully in hospital on September 5th 2011; Nap Pitre of Maitland at the age of 73.  Born in South Tetagouche, NB, he is survived by his loving mother Mrs. Neldia Pitre and was predeceased by his father Napoleon (Paul) Pitre.  Beloved husband of Annette (nee Laframboise).  Dear father of Josh Denneboom (Judi), Wayne Denneboom, Dawn Robinson (Glenn) and Lance Pitre (Sherry).  Cherished grandfather of Chelsie, Nathan, Lucas, Jake and Samantha.  Also survived by siblings Valmond (Louise), Godfrey (Julie), Angela Sjonger, Fidel (Linda), Marcella Blaedow (Steve), Lionel (Linda), Alvin (Sylvia) and Desneiges Lavigne (Michael).  Predeceased by his brother Emmanuel, his brother-in-law John Sjonger and by his uncle Percy Henry.  Family and friends may pay their respects at the Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel, Brockville on Wednesday, September 7, 2011 from 6-9 pm.  The Liturgy of the Christian Funeral will be celebrated at St. Francis Xavier Church on Thursday at 10 am followed by a reception in the Irvine Reception Centre.  A private interment will take place at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Lancaster ON.  In remembrance donations to Brockville and District Hospital Foundation Palliative Care will be gratefully acknowledged.

Valmond Pitre:  Elhatton’s Funeral Home (Bathurst, NB):  Valmond Pitre  1939-2021 (photo)   South Tetagouche - Valmond Pitre passed away at the Chaleur Regional Hospital in Bathurst on August 9th, 2021 at the age of 82.  Born in South Tetagouche, he was the son to the late Napoleon Pitre and the late Neldia Henry.  He leaves behind the love of his life, Louise Vienneau of Robertville.  Three brothers: Fidel Pitre (Linda Tremblay), Lionel Pitre (Linda) and Alvin Pitre (Sylvia) all of South Tetagouche.  Three sisters: Angela Sjonger of Cornwall, ON, Marcella Bleadow (Steve) of Addison, ON and Desneiges (Roland Forbes) of Bathurst.  Several Nephews and Nieces.  Other then his parents, he joins three brothers: Emmanuel, Napoleon Jr. and Godfrey.  There will be no visitation at the funeral home.  Funeral Service will be held on Thursday August 19, 2021 at 2 p.m. From Holy Rosary Church of Bathurst.  Arrangements are in the care of Elhatton’s Funeral Home of Bathurst.

 

Joseph Godfrey Pitre:  Elhatton’s Funeral Home (Bathurst, NB):  Godfrey Pitre.  Passed away peacefully in Hospital, Brockville Ontario on Friday, May 9, 2014;  Joseph Godfrey Pitre, at the age of 73 years.  Loving son of Mrs. Neldia Pitre of Bathurst, N.B. and the late Paul Pitre.  Beloved husband of Julie (nee Bernard) and proud father of Gilbert (Elizabeth) and Lisa (Mike).  Cherished grandfather of Jessica.   Dear brother of Valmond (Louise), Angela Sjonger, Fidel (Linda), Marcella Blaedow (Steve), Lionel (Linda), Alvin (Sylvia) and Desneiges Lavigne (Michael).  Also survived by his sister-in-law Annette Pitre, by numerous brothers- and sisters-in-law in the Bernard family, and by many nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by brothers: Napoleon (Nap) and Emmanuel, and by his brother-in-law John Sjonger.  Visitation will take place at the Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel, Brockville, Monday, May 12th from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m.  The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. John Bosco Church, Brockville, at 11 am on Tuesday, May 13th.  He will then be transferred to Bathurst N.B. for visitation from Elhatton's Funeral Home on Friday, May 16th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 with a memorial service to be held on Saturday, May 17th at 11 a.m. from Elhatton's Funeral Home Chapel.  Godfrey will be laid to rest at St. Mary Magdalene Cemetery in his native home of South Tetagouche, New Brunswick.  Arrangements in Bathurst will be in the care of Elhatton's Funeral Home, Bathurst N.B.  As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Ottawa Heart Institute, the Ottawa Regional Cancer Centre or the Brockville and District Palliative Care will be gratefully acknowledged.
