Obituary:  Tuesday, 9 May 1972:  Alice Diana Pitre - A long-time resident of the Sudbury area, Mrs. Napoleon Pitre, 85, of 21 Morin St., Capreol, died Sunday, in Sudbury General Hospital following a lengthy illness.  Born at Ste. Felicite, Que., the former Alice Harrison, she married in 1907.  She resided in Quebec until moving to the Sudbury area 53 years ago.  She was a member of Our Lady of Peace Roman Catholic Church.  She is survived by five sons - Edward, Orval, Aldege and Edgar of Capreol, and Alcide of Hanmer; three daughters - Mrs. Daniel Dubois of Capreol, Florence of Penetanguishene and Isabel of Vancouver; three sisters - Mrs. Angeline Lafrancois of Markstay, Mrs. Leandre Lajambe of Sudbury, and Mrs. Adrien Lajambe, of Hanmer; 15 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.  Her husband predeceased her in 1966.  The body is at the Co-Operative Funeral Home.  Requiem mass will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Our Lady of Peace Church, Capreol, with interment following in the Capreol Roman Catholic Cemetery.

Marie Anne Lajambe:  Sudbury Star (ONT), 4 March 1998:  Anna "Marie-Anne" (Lajambe-Pitre) Dubois:  The family announces with sorrow her death, March 3rd, 1998 at Sudbury at the age of 89 years.  Wife of the late Daniel Dubois (predeceased in 1985).  Daughter of the late Napoleon Pitre and of the late Alice Pitre (nee Harrison).  Loving mother of Norman Dubois (wife Maribel), Jeanne McKee and Carmen Boyle all of Capreol.  Predeceased by two sons-in-law Ted McKee and Charles Boyle.  Dear sister of Aldege Pitre and Alcide Pitre (wife Patricia) both of Capreol, Florence Pitre of Penetanguishene and Isabel Proctor (husband Don) of Mission, British Columbia.  Predeceased by three brothers Edgar, Orval and Edward.  Survived by three sisters-in-law Veronique Pitre of Capreol, Aleitha Pitre of Barrie and Diana Forget of Sudbury.  Dear grandmother of 15 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.  Predeceased by 1 grandson Roger.  The family will receive friends at the C0-operative Funeral Home, 4570 St Joseph Street, Hanmer, Thursday from 2-5 and 7-9:30 pm and Friday after 10 am.  Mass of Christian burial will be held Friday, March 6th, 1998 at 1 pm in Our Lady of Peace Church, Capreol.  Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be greatly appreciated.

Dennis Lajambe:  The Ottawa Journal (Ottawa, ONT), Monday, 6 September 1937:  Four are Dead in Road Crash near Sudbury - Sudbury, Sept. 5 - Death toll in a highway accident nine miles north of Sudbury early today mounted to four tonight when Dennis Pitre, 19, Capreol, died in hospital.  Six persons are suffering injuries.  A gravel truck operated by Kenneth Paget, 19, Winnipeg, and a dairy truck driven by Fernand Lepage, 22, Capreol, sideswiped on the Capreol highway.  Eight persons were riding in the dairy truck and four suffered fractured skulls, three dying instantly, and Pitre late tonight.  Three persons rode in the gravel truck cab.  The dead:  Dennis Pitre, son of Mr. and Mrs. Napoleon Pitre.  Miss Cecile Quesnel, 16, Capreol, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ovila Quesnel.  Fernand Lepage, 22, Capreol, son of Mr. and Mrs. Napoleon Lepage.  David Chevrette, 39, Capreol, employee of Lepage's Dairy.  (More details on injured persons.)... The eight passengers in the dairy truck were returning to Capreol after attending a theatre at Sudbury.  The accident occurred about 1 a.m.

- North Bay Nugget (North Bay, ONT), Wednesday, 8 September 1937:  The funeral service for Dennis 'Lejambe' Pitre, 19-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Napoleon 'Lejambe' Pitre, Capreol, was held from his late residence to Our Lady of Peace Church, Capreol, at 10 o'clock Wednesday morning.  Rev. Father A. G. Baker officiated.  Interment was in the Capreol Roman Catholic cemetery.
