Obituary:  L'Acadie Nouvelle (NB), Monday, 13 April 1998:  Moise Pitre (1915-1998) Beresford - At the Bathurst regional hospital, on Sunday April 12, 1998 at the age of 82 years passed away after a brief illness, Moise Pitre, husband of Claudia Pitre, residing at Beresford.  He was the son of the late Victor Pitre and the late Annie Godin.  Besides his spouse, he is survived by five daughters: Imelda (Leger Simard) of Chicoutimi, Mercia (Conrad Doucet), Nancy Pitre, Joanne (Marcel Guignard) and Solange (Simon Boudreau), all of Beresford; eight sons: Germain (Therese Pelletier) of Robertville, Real (Virginie) of Beresford, Aurele (Murielle Boudreau) of Nigadoo, Vernon (Jeanne Doucet) of Robertville, Laurent, Jules (Gisele Roy), Ronald (Sylvie Boudreau)  and Rene (Carole Roy) all of Beresford; two sisters Eva (Ernest Pitre) of Beresford and Eveline Daigle of Bathurst; several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; his mother-in-law Delima Pitre of Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes Foyer of Bathurst; also 29 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.  A son, as well as a young daughter, preceded him to the grave.  The mortal remains will be on display starting at 7 p.m. this Monday, April 13, at the Heritage Funeral Home in Beresford.  The funeral will take place at Saint-Nom de Jesus Church in Beresford, Tuesday, April 14, at 7 p.m.  Burial will take place at the parish cemetery later this spring.  Visiting hours: Monday, April 13, from 7 to 9 p.m., and Tuesday, April 14, from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. until departure for the funeral.  At the family's request, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.

Obituary:  L'Acadie Nouvelle (NB), Monday, 2 March 2015:  Claudia Pitre 1921-2015 (photo)  At the Bathurst Regional Hospital on Saturday February 28, 2015, at the age of 93 years, after a long pulmonary illness (COPD), Claudia Pitre, wife of the late Moise Pitre, passed away.  She resided in Beresford.  Born in Beresford, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Pitre and the late Delima Rose Jean.  Besides her husband, she is survived by 12 children: Imelda Pitre (late Leger Simard) Chicoutimi, Qc, Germain 'Billy' (Leona Landry) Beresford, Aurele (Murielle Boudreau-Pitre) Nigadoo, Vernon (Jeanne) Robertville, Laurent, Jules, Mercia, Nancy, all of Beresford, Joanne (Marcel Guignard) Bathurst, Ronald 'Rony' (Sylvie Boudreau), Solange (Simon Boudreau), both of Beresford and Rene (Carole) Dunlop; 29 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren; five sisters: Irene (late Alphonse Degrace) Beresford, Patsy (Aurele Tremblay), Angela (Gilles Pilote), Yvette Pitre (late Michel Maltais) and Lorraine Pitre, all of Chicoutimi, Qc; two brothers: Patrice (Julie) and Hermel, both of Beresford.  One son, Rheal; two young children; three brothers: Alcide, Emannuel and Cleophas; and one grandson, Remi, preceded in the grave.  The family will receive relatives and friends at the Heritage Funeral Home in Beresford, Tuesday March 3, 2015, 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. until departure for the funeral.  The funeral will be celebrated Tuesday March 3, 2015 at 7 p.m., in Saint Nom de Jesus Church in Beresford.  At the family's request, donations to the Lung Association or a charity of your choice would be appreciated.

Joseph Rheal Pitre:  Elhatton’s Funeral Home (Bathurst, NB), Rheal Pitre 1942-2008:  Beresford …At the Chaleur Regional Hospital, on Sunday, May 18, 2008, at the age of 65, passed away Rheal Pitre, residing in Beresford.  Born in Beresford on October 11, 1942, he was the son of Claudia (Pitre) Pitre and the late Moïse Pitre.  He worked as a boilermaker in the province.  He was a member of Local Union 73.  Besides his mother of Beresford, he is survived by: His son: Serge Pitre (Irene) of Beresford, His daughter: Liette Pitre-Hebert (Marcel) of Oromocto, NB.  His girlfriend: Virginie Duguay.  Seven brothers: Germain (Thérèse) of Beresford, Vernon (Jeanne) of Robertville, Aurèle (Murielle Boudreau) of Nigadoo, Laurent, Jules, Ronald (Sylvie Boudreau) and René (Carole) all of Beresford.  Five sisters: Imelda Simard (Léger) of Chicoutimi, Que., Mercia Doucet (Conrad) of Ste Rosette, NB, Nancy Pitre, Joanne Guignard (Marcel) and Solange Pitre (Simon Boudreau) all of Beresford.  Also the mother of his children; Diane Comeau of Fort Mc Murray, AB; 3 grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.  The remains will lie in state starting at 2 p.m. on Tuesday at Heritage Funeral Home, Beresford.  Mass of Christian Burial will be sung on Wednesday, May 21, 2008 at 4:30 p.m. from St. Name of Jesus R.C. Church, Beresford.  Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Visiting hours will be Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 2 p.m. until time of departure.  At the request of the family, in memory of Rheal a contribution to the Lung Association or a charity of the choice will be appreciated.
