She was born April 23, 1952 in Houston, Texas to Jennings. L. and Pauline (Clack) Pitre. On July 6, 1974 she married Kirk Freeman in Friendswood, Texas. Michelle graduated from SMU in 1974 where she received her bachelors degree in elementary education and psychology. She was a member of the Chi Omega Sorority. Michelle was employed for 19 years with the Plano Independent School District. She is survived by her husband, Kirk Freeman of Prosper, Texas; daughter Whitney Rae Freeman of Dallas, Texas; mother, Pauline Pitre of Friendswood, Texas. She was preceded in death by her father Jennings L. Pitre. In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations in Michelle's name to Medical City Foundation, Dallas, TX or Heard Natural Science Museum in McKinney, TX.
