Born on Prince Edward Island, she was the daughter of the late Prosper and Mary (Arsenault) Gallant. She lived in Reading for 70 years. The wife of the late John Peters, she was the mother of George and Gerald Peters, both of Wilmington, Mass., Reginald Peters of Reading, Zella Longo of Stoneham, Mass., Theresa Bernard of California, Marie Brown of Billerica, Mass., and Rose Brady of Methuen, Mass.; the sister of Theodore Gallant of Prince Edward Island; the grandmother of 33, the great-grandmother of 47, and the great-great-grandmother of one. A funeral was held from the Joseph Doherty Funeral Home in Reading on June 5, 1998, followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Athansius Church. Interment was in Charles Lawn Cemetery in Reading.
