Obituary: The Times Transcript (Moncton, NB), Tuesday, 7 July 1970: Bathurst - The death of James J. Pitre, 620 Golf Street, occurred Sunday at Chaleur General Hospital, Bathurst, after a long illness. He was 61. Born in Robertville, he was a son of the late James J. and Marie Jane (Legacy) Pitre. He is survived by his wife, the former Marie Elise Arseneau; two sons, Gerald and Roger, Bathurst; two daughters, Mrs. Albany Gauthier (Simonne) North Tetagouche, and Mrs. John Taylor (Annette), Bathurst; and eight grandchildren. The body is resting at Hogan's funeral home. The funeral will be held at Holy Family Church Wednesday at 10 a.m. Interment will be in the Roman Catholic cemetery.
