Obituary: The Times Transcript (Moncton, NB), Friday, 27 May 1966: Bathurst - The death of Israel Pitre of St. Anne occurred Thursday morning at the Hotel Dieu following a lengthy illness. He was born in South Tetagouche. He was a son of the late William and Margaret (Kenneth) Pitre and was a life-long resident of the community. He had been employed with LaPerrelle Lumber Company Ltd. and was also a farmer. Surviving besides his wife, the former Celina Legacy are two sons, Gerald and Lionel, both at home; three daughters, Mrs. Kenneth Blanchard (Macrina) and Mrs. Leonard Doucet (Albina) both of Ste. Anne and Miss Evelyn Pitre at home; two brothers, Joseph and Michael, both of St. Anne; one sister, Mrs. Joseph Legacy (Margaret) Bathurst, and 12 grandchildren. The body was taken from Elhatton's funeral home and will rest at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Lionel Doucet, with whom he resided. The funeral service will be held at Holy Family Church at 11 a.m. Saturday. Burial in the parish cemetery.

She was the wife of first husband the late Kenneth Blanchard and second husband Ronald Good. Born at South Tetagouche, she was the daughter of the late Israel and Celina (Lagacy) Pitre. Besides her spouse, she is survived by three sons, Greg Blanchard (Germaine) of Beresford, Stephen Blanchard (Carol) of Toronto, Ont. and Roger Blanchard (Linda) of Sainte-Anne, Gloucester county; two daughters: Louise Lavigne (Rheal) of Beresford and Lynn Plourde of Bathurst; one brother, Lionel of Sainte-Anne, Gloucester county; one sister, Albina Doucet of Sainte-Anne, Gloucester county; seven grandchildren: Kenneth, Sophie, Manon, Alice, Dustin, Bruno and Serge, as well as several nephews and nieces. One brother, Gerald, also one sister, Evelyn, preceded him to the grave. The mortal remains can be viewed at Elhatton Funeral Home, Bathurst. The funeral will take place in Sainte Famille Church, Bathurst, Saturday, May 19, at 11 a.m. Burial in the United Church cemetery of South Tetagouche.

Albina Pitre: Elhatton Funeral Home, (Bathurst, NB): The death of Mrs. Albina Doucet, 73, of St. Anne’s, Gloucester Co., which occurred at the Chaleur Regional Hospital on Friday June 6, 2008 after a long battle with cancer. Born in South Tetagouche, she was the daughter of the late Israel and Celine (Lagace) Pitre. She is survived by: five sons; Gerry Doucet of Miramichi, Kenny Doucet (Yolande) of St. Anne’s, Jean-Guy Doucet of Bathurst, Donald Doucet (Nancy Landry) and Norman Doucet (Lucie) both of Riverview. One daughter; Nicole Legacy (Jean-Paul) of Ste. Anne’s. She leaves behind 9 grandchildren; Byron, Ryan, Jeffrey, Jillian, Bianca, Kevin, Justin, Rachel and Remi. Surviving also is one brother; Lionel “Wabo” Pitre. She was predeceased by one son; Edmond Doucet and 2 sisters; Macrina (Cathy) Good and May Pitre, and a brother; Gerald “Pet” Pitre. The body is resting at Elhatton's Funeral Home on Saturday June 7, 2008 at 7:00 p.m., Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00, Monday from 9:00 until time of funeral. The funeral will be celebrated Monday June 9, 2008 at 11:00 from Holy Family Church. Burial will be in parish cemetery. In memory of Albina, donations to Canadian Cancer Society will be appreciated by family.

Besides his mother, he is survived by his wife, the former Regina Chamberlain; a brother, Lionel of Bathurst; three sisters, Mrs. Ronald Good (Macrina) and Evelyn Pitre, both of Bathurst, and Mrs. Albina Doucet of Ste. Anne, and by several nieces and nephews. The body is at Elhatton's Funeral Home, Bathurst. Funeral mass will be celebrated today at 11 a.m. at the Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, Bathurst. Entombment will be in the parish cemetery vault until spring.

away on Monday (August 1, 2011) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst,
after a lengthy illness. Born in Bathurst, he was the son of the late
Isreal and Céline (Legace) Pitre. He was a former employee of many
years for Doucet's Landscaping. He was the last surviving member of his
immediate family and is survived by nieces and nephews; Kenneth, Gerald,
Donald, Jean Guy, Normand, Nicole, Greg, Line, Louise, Roger and Stephen.
One sister-in-law; Regina Pitre. He was pre-deceased by a brother;
Gerald, sisters; Albina, Macrina and Evelyne. There will be
no visitation at the Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will be celebrated on
Thursday afternoon (August 4, 2011) at 2 p.m. from Elhatton's Funeral Home
Chapel with Father Greg Culligan officiating. Arrangements are in the care
of Elhatton's Funeral Home, Bathurst.
