Merdeline Pitre:  Houma CourierMerdeline P. LeBlanc 74, a native of Terrebonne Parish and resident of Chauvin, died at 11:35 pm. Thursday, Feb. 13, 1997.  Visitation will be from 4 to 10 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. to funeral time Saturday at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Chauvin.  Mass will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Chauvin, with burial in the church cemetery.  She is survived by her husband, Ruffin LeBlanc; two sons, Errol P. and Kenneth LeBlanc; three brothers, Albon and Ferrell Carlos, and Harvey Pitre; three sisters, Mavis Charpentier, Geraldine Duet and Gail Authement; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Valerie Pitre.  She was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxillary, the Ladies Altar Society and a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Harvey Joseph Pitre:  Houma Courier:  Harvey "Son" Pitre, 74, a native of Terrebonne Parish and resident of Chauvin died at 2:05 p.m. Saturday, Oct.  17, 1998.  Visitation will be from noon to 10 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. until funeral time Monday at Knights of Columbus Hall in Chauvin.  Mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with burial in the church cemetery.  He is survived by one son, Carter Pitre; two daughters, Veronica McEachern and Pam Chauvin; two brothers, Albon Carlos and Ferrel Carlos; three sisters, Mavis Charpentier, Geraldine Duet and Gail Authement; five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Thelma Dupre Pitre; his father, Howard Pitre; his mother and stepfather, Valerie Babin Carlos and B. J. Carlos; and one sister, Merdeline LeBlanc.  He was a retired custodian for the Ward 7, a WWII U.S. Army veteran, a member of the American Legion, a member of Knights of Columbus and a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Pitre:  Mavis Pitre Charpentier, age 78, a native and resident of Chauvin, died at 9:10 p.m. Nov. 23, 2004.  Visitation today and Saturday at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Chauvin; mass of burial celebrated Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Chauvin, with burial at the church cemetery.  Survived by her husband, Jean J. Charpentier; son, Timothy Charpentier; daughters, Jackie Prosperie and Claudette Blanchard; brothers, Albon and Ferrell Carlos; sisters, Geraldine Duet and Gail Authement; 10 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.  Preceded in death by her father, Howard Pitre; mother, Valerie Babin Pitre Carlos; stepfather, Bartholomew "B. J." "Babe" Carlos; brother, Harvey Pitre; and sister, Merdeline LeBlanc.  Parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church and a member of the Ladies Altar Society, American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, and Ward 7 V. F. W. Ladies Auxiliary.  Samart Funeral Home of Houma.
