Obituary:  Times Picayune (LA), Friday, 10 March 1961:  At Terrebonne General Hospital, Houma, La., on Thursday, March 9, 1961 at 1 o'clock p.m., John Henry Pitre Jr., beloved husband of Aline Prosperie, father of Cyrus Joseph, Lucy Mae and Carolyn Marie Pitre, son of John Pitre Sr. and the late Frances Autin, brother of Eli Pitre of Delcambre, La., Mrs. Norris Leboeuf and Mrs. Stanley Robicheaux of Montegut, La., Mrs. Albert Pitre of New Orleans, La., Mrs. Charles Savoie of Houma, La., Mrs. Ruffin Lecompte, Mrs. C.D. Long, Mrs. James Carlos, Mrs. Ernest Portier and Mrs. Davidson Kieffe of Chauvin, La.  Age 44 years.  A native and resident of Chauvin, La.  Relatives and friends of the family, also Holy Name Society and Knights of Columbus of St. Joseph's Parish, Chauvin, La., are invited to attend the funeral.  Services from the late residence, Chauvin, La., on Saturday, March 11, 1961 at 9 o'clock a.m.  Religious services at St. Joseph's Catholic church, Chauvin, La.  Interment St. Joseph's Catholic cemetery, Chauvin, La.  Falgout Funeral Homes, Inc., Raceland, La. in charge.

Obituary:  The Houma Courier (LA), Wednesday, 9 May 2001:  Aline Prosperie Pitre, 82, a native of Montegut and a resident of Chauvin, died at 10:22 a.m. Tuesday, May 8, 2001.  Visitation was scheduled from 10 a.m. to funeral time today at St. Joseph Catholic Church.  Mass was scheduled for noon today at the church, with burial in the church cemetery.  She is survived by one son, Cyrus Pitre Sr. and wife, Shelia, of Chauvin; two daughters, Lucy Pitre Bourg and companion, Sonny Dillon, and Carolyn Pitre Bertrand, all of Chauvin; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.  She was preceded in death by her husband, John Henry Pitre Jr.; her parents, Michel and Maggie LeCompte Prosperie; four brothers, Andrew, Luis, Miguel and James Prosperie; and four sisters, Julia P. Bazet, Dorina P. Lacey, Nora P. Blanchard and Josephine P. Belanger.  She was a retired cook for the Terrebonne Parish school system and a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Lucy Mae Pitre:  July 20, 1938 - August 5, 2019:  Lucy Mae Pitre Bourg, 81, a lifelong resident of Chauvin, Louisiana passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at her daughter's home on August 5, 2019.  A memorial service will be held at a later date at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Chauvin, Louisiana.  She is survived by her loving daughters, Lana B. Danos (Daniel), Dana B. Davis (Larry), and Tana B. Unbehagen (John); brother, Cyrus Pitre Sr. (Shelia); grandchildren, Shawn Bourg (Brandi), Shane Bourg (Ashley), Danielle Plaisance, Daniel "Pasquale" Danos Jr. (Nicole), Joshua Guin (Taylor), Jacob Guin, and Christy Unbehagen; 14 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Zenon "ZB" Bourg Jr.; parents, John H. Pitre Jr. and Aline Prosperie Pitre; and sister, Carolyn Pitre Bertrand.  Lucy was a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church.  She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, embroidering, fishing, gardening, and watching Saints football.  She was a loving wife, mother, and Maw Maw Lucy to many.  She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.  Samart Funeral Home of Houma, Bayou Blue LLC is in charge of arrangements.

 

Carolyn Pitre:  Houma Courier (LA), Sunday, 6 January 2002:  Carolyn Pitre Bertrand; age 60, a native and resident of Houma, died at 11:05 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 30, 2001; memorial services held at a later date; survived by one son, John Bertrand of Denham Springs; one sister, Lucy Bourg of Chauvin; one brother, Cyrus Pitre of Chauvin; and two grandchildren; preceded in death by her husband, Larry Bertrand; and her parents, John and Aline Prosperie Pitre; homemaker.
