Obituary:  Sunday Telegram (Worcester, MA), Sunday, 23 Mar 1975:  Gardner - Arthur J. Peters, 84, of 174 Blanchard Place, died yesterday in Eastwood Pines Nursing Home.  He was the husband of the late Anna (Belliveau) Peters and the late Mary (Roy) Peters.  He retired 10 years ago, after working many years at Fontain Bros. Co.  He was a member of the Holy Rosary Church, the Golden Age Club, Hillside Gardens Assn., and was a past commander of a Veterans of Foreign Wars post.  He was awarded the Purple Heart during his military service.  He leaves four daughters, Loretta, wife of Peter Kruskowskas, Helen, wife of Leon Zlotnik, Doris, wife of Harold Patria, all of Gardner, and Mary Rose, wife of Dwight Howe of West Boylston; a sister, Mrs. Cecile Gagne of Gardner, 16 grandchildren and several nephews and nieces.  He was born in Prince Edward Island, Canada, son of Peter and Mary (Peters) Peters.  A full military funeral service and Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. tomorrow in Holy Rosary Church.  Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery.  Calling hours are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today in the Lamoureux Funeral Home.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in his memory be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Society of Holy Rosary Church.

- Worcester Telegram & Gazette (MA), Friday, 18 September 1998:  West Boylston - Mary Rose (Peters) Howe, 76, of 2531 S.W. Greenwich Way, Palm City, Fla., formerly of 9 Pinewoods Drive, a community volunteer for many years, died Tuesday in the home of a daughter in Matthews, N.C., after a battle with cancer.  Her husband of 45 years, Dwight M. Howe Sr., died in 1991.  She leaves two sons, Dwight M. Howe Jr. of Portland, Ore., and Barry S. Howe of Southboro; two daughters, Janet Kraskouskas of Centerville and Rebecca J. Drillings of Matthews, N.C.; three sisters, Lauretta Kraskouskas, Helen Zlotnik and Doris Patria, all of Gardner; six grandchildren; nephews and nieces.  She was born in Gardner, daughter of Arthur J. and Anna (Belliveau) Peters, and lived many years in West Boylston before moving recently to Palm City.  She graduated in 1941 from Gardner High School, where she was co-captain and goalie of the girls' field hockey team.  She was also a manager of girls' basketball.  She was once a bookkeeper at Heywood-Wakefield Co., a Gardner furniture maker, for several years, until 1945.  Mrs. Howe was a volunteer for many years at Hahnemann Hospital in Worcester and the Women's Club at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church.  She was also a longtime volunteer in the West Boylston Little League, the Worcester youth hockey program, the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts of America, the Cub Scouts, the West Boylston Civic Club, and the Boys & Girls Club of Worcester.  She was a longtime member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Church and Worcester Country Club.  A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. tomorrow in Holy Spirit Church, Gardner.  Burial will be in Green Bower Cemetery, Gardner.  There are no calling hours.  But a celebration of her life will be held from 6 to 9 tonight in the ballroom at Wachusett Village Inn, Westminster.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Boys & Girls Club of Worcester, Worcester, MA; or Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, West Boylston, MA; or a hospice program.  Dufault-Boucher Funeral Home, Gardner, is directing arrangements.

Doris Peters:  Boucher Funeral Home (Gardner, MA):  Doris L. "Nana" (Peters) Patria, 94, of Gardner, died unexpectedly Friday, November 26, 2021, in her residence.  Born in Gardner on September 28, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Arthur J. and Anna (Belliveau) Peters.  She graduated from Gardner High School with the Class of 1945.  Doris was an Assembler employed by Modern Contract Furniture, Inc. for several years until her retirement.  Doris was a parishioner of Annunciation Parish/ Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church of Gardner.  She enjoyed playing BINGO, scratch tickets and Solitaire.  Doris also loved going for her daily walks, crocheting, shopping, and going out to eat.  The time Doris loved and treasured the most was spent with her family.  Doris is survived by her three sons, Edward A. Patria and his spouse Robin of Exeter, NH, Michael H. Patria and his spouse Amy of Roanoke, VA, and Dana S. Patria and his spouse Debra of Everett; a daughter Darlene A. LeBlanc and her husband Paul of Gardner; nine grandchildren and their spouses, Kelly Nichols and her spouse Kevin, Kenneth Patria and his spouse Jessica, Jennifer Howland and her spouse Eric, Melissa Neseran and her spouse Yared, Heidi Patria, Robert Howlett, Jamie Leonard, Shawn Leonard and Aimee Amirault; several great-grandchildren; a sister, Helen Zlotnik of Gardner; several nieces, nephews and cousins.  She was predeceased by her husband of 44-years Harold Clayton Patria, who died in 1994; a grandson, Jeffrey LeBlanc, who died in 2002; and two sisters, Lauretta Kraskouskas, and Mary Rose Howe.  Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, December 1, 2021, from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., Gardner, MA, with a Mass at 1:00 p.m. in Annunciation Parish at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, Gardner, MA.  Burial at Notre Dame Cemetery, Gardner, MA, will follow.  Calling Hours will be held Wednesday, December 1, 2021, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the funeral home.  The family asks that all those in attendance please adhere to wearing masks.  Memorial Contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, Memphis, TN.  Please reference in memory of Doris L.
