Edgar Pitre: The Times Transcript (Moncton, NB), Friday, 15 August 1980: Bathurst - Edgar Pitre, 38, of St. Anne's died Thursday at Chaleur General Hospital in Bathurst after an illness of five months. Born in Bathurst, he was a son of the late George and Theotis (Savoie) Pitre. He was employed with the department of natural resources. He is survived by his wife, the former Jeannine Doucet; a daughter, Louise at home; three brothers, Roger of South Tetagouche, Cleo of St. Anne's and Romeo Pitre of Lameque; three sisters, Mrs. Marc Guitard (Claudette), Mrs. Daniel Guitard (Yvette) and Jeannette Pitre, all of South Tetagouche. The body is at Elhatton's funeral home, Bathurst. Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday from the Holy Family Roman Catholic Church. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
Romeo Pitre: L'Acadie Nouvelle (Caraquet, NB), Friday, 25 October 2002: (photo) Romeo Pitre (1945-2002): Petite Lameque - At the Lameque Hospital Center on Wednesday, October 23, 2002, at the age of 57 years, Romeo Pitre passed away, husband of Marie-May Beaudin, residing at Petite-Lameque, formerly of Bathurst. Born March 28, 1945, he was the son of the late Georges Pitre and the late Theotiste Savoie. Besides his spouse he is survived by two daughters: Denise (Michel N Duguay) of Lameque and Jeanne (ami Jean-Claude Godin) of Petite Lameque; one son Jeffrey Allan Cherewka (Cheryl) of Teeterville, Ont.; three sisters: Claudette (Marc Guitard), Jeannette (Aurele Vienneau) and Yvette (Daniel Guitard), all of Bathurst; two brothers: Roger (Alma Guitard) and Cleo (Theresa), both of Bathurst; one sister-in-law, Jeannine Doucet of Bathurst; two godchildren: Jason Jay Strout of British Columbia and Luc Aube of Bathurst; five grandchildren: Richard, Charles, Tracy, Nicole and Curtis, as well as several nephews and nieces. One brother, Edgard, preceded him in death. The mortal remains will not be on display. The family will receive friends and family a half-hour before the funeral, which will take place at Notre-Dame-des-Flots Church in Lameque, Saturday, October 26, at 1:30 p.m.
