Obituary: Saint John Times Globe (St. John, NB), Tuesday, 27 March 1990: The funeral of Francis J. Peters of Lynn, Mass. was held at the Pine Grove Cemetery in Lynn. He died March 9 in his 75th year at the Atlantic Care Medical Centre at Lynn after a brief illness. Born in Prince Edward Island, he was the son of the late Frank and Lena Peters. He was a resident of St. John for many years and served with the Canadian Armed Forces before moving to Lynn. He was a mechanic repairman in the turbine division of the General Electric Company's River Works Plant for 11 years. He also worked at the Quincy Naval Shipyard. He had been retired 10 years prior to his death. He is survived by one son, Hugh Peters of St. Stephen; one brother, Walter (Buster) Peters of British Columbia; two sisters, Agatha, Mrs. George Phinney of Bangor, Me., and Meryl, Mrs. Roy Thompson of West Saint John; three grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Obituary: The Daily Item (Lynn, MA), Friday, 9 March 1979: Lynn - Mrs. Catherine (Legere) (Landry) Peters, 57, 528 Summer St., wife of Francis J. Peters, died Thursday at Beth Israel Hospital, Boston, following a brief illness. Born in Moncton, New Brunswick, the daughter of the late Emile and Edna Legere, she had been a resident of Lynn most of her life. She leaves a son, Wayne F. Landry; a daughter, Mrs. Nancy Covey, and two grandchildren, James and Tina Covey, all of Lynn, and several nieces and nephews. The funeral will be held Saturday at 8 a.m. from the St. Laurent Funeral Home, with a mass at 9 in St. Jean Baptiste Church. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery.
