Obituary: The Windsor Star (Windsor, ONT), Friday, 7 December 1956: Mrs. Edward Pitre - Mrs. Marie Pitre, 69, of 328 Tecumseh Rd., Tecumseh, died Thursday at her home following a brief illness. Born in Quebec, Mrs. Pitre lived in Tecumseh for the past 32 years. Surviving Mrs. Pitre are her husband, Edward, at home; one daughter, Mrs. Jules Level (Cecile) of St. Clair Shores, Mich.; three brothers, Joseph Tremblay of Vancouver, B.C., Ludger of Detroit, Damase of Quebec; one sister, Mrs. Alice Gauthier of Ansonville, Ont., and two grandchildren. The body will leave the Marcotte Funeral Home, 195 Tecumseh Rd. W., Tecumseh, Monday at 9 a.m. for St. Anne's Church where funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Burial will be made in the church cemetery. Prayers will be offered evenings at 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
