Obituary: Providence Journal (RI), Friday, 29 April 1983: John M. Peters of 160 Lou Lane, formerly of Providence, died Monday at home. Born on Prince Edward Island, he was a son of the late Bruno and Mary (Chaisson) Peters. Mr. Peters was a realtor. He was an Army veteran of World Wars I and II. He leaves a son, Donald B. Peters of Brewer, Maine; four brothers, Bennett L. Peters of Narragansett, Frank Peters of Long Island, N.Y., Melvin Peters of Lachute, Quebec, and Fred Peters of Prince Edward Island; three sisters, Mrs. Howard Doucett of Prince Edward Island, Mrs. Mary Myers and Mrs. Leona Hould, both of Sudbury, Ontario; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. The funeral and burial will be private.
