Fleurette Pitre:  It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we mourn the peaceful passing of Fleurette Brunet at St. Joseph’s Continuing Care Centre on Sunday April 30, 2023, at the age of 95 years.  Beloved wife for 72 years of the late Arcade Brunet.  Loving mother of Elaine Lalonde (Philippe), Jeannette Sanche (Paul), René Brunet (Faye), Denise Quesnel (Pierre).  Cherished grandmother (memere) of Derick Lalonde (Kerry), Nicole Poitras (Jeremy), Joel Sanche (France), Teal Markell (Alex), Devin Brunet (Laura), Zoee Brunet (Kevin), Adele Hickman (Ian), Vincent Quesnel (Tara).  Proud great-grandmother of Arthur and Estelle Lalonde, Noah and Liam Poitras, Axel, Lennox and Nixon Markell, Brayden, Cohen and Ashton Hickman, Pillar and Eller Quesnel.  Survived by her dear sister, Therese Pitre.  Predeceased by her parents Eusebe and Rachelle (nee Dore) Pitre and by her siblings Jean-Marie Pitre (late Lucille), Emile Pitre (late Vivian), Charles Pitre, Yvette Snyder (late Lawrence), and Georgette Lauzon (late Wilfred).  She will be dearly missed by sister-in-law Lyette Ladouceur, brother-in-law Jim Brunet (Pauline Secours),and many nieces, nephews and friends.  Fleurette was a strong, loving woman.  She dedicated her life to caring affectionately for her family.  Her greatest pleasures were spending time with her family every Sunday for a delicious meal and home made pies.  She enjoyed travelling, reading, playing cards, knitting, bowling and golfing.  She volunteered her time to Meals on Wheels and Life line.  She had a heart of gold and shared her love of life with everyone.  As per Fleurette’s wishes, there will be no visitation or service.  Cremation services entrusted to M. John Sullivan Funeral Home.  Internment, Notre Dame Cemetery at a later date.
