Obituary:  Beaumont Journal (TX), Friday, 6 September 1957:  Orange - Eli Joseph Pitre, 72, of 503 North St., died at 3:30 a.m. Friday at his home.  Mr. Pitre, a native of Jeanerette, La., lived in Orange 10 years.  He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and a retired welder.  Surviving are: One son, Joseph Pitre of Orange, and two grandchildren.  A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Friday at the Claybar Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Joseph Berberich, pastor of St. Mary's Catholic Church.  Funeral services will be conducted at 9 a.m. Saturday at the church with burial in St. Mary's Cemetery.

Suzie Michelle Pitre:  The Orange Leader (Orange, TX), Sunday, 25 April 1937:  Funeral services for Mrs. Suzie Mulholland, 26, who died after a brief illness at the Frances Ann Lutcher hospital at 7:45 Friday night, will be held from the St. Mary's Catholic church at 1 p.m. Sunday with Rev. Father Geo. Berberich, rector of that church, officiating, burial to take place in the Jett cemetery under direction of the Wheeler funeral home.  Mrs. Mulholland, born and reared at Jeanerette, La., had been a resident of Orange for the past 10 years.  She was a member of the Catholic church.  Surviving her are her husband, Harold Mulholland of Orange; her father, Elie Pitre, and a brother, Joseph Pitre, both of Jeanette.
