MISC - The Evening Gazette (Worcester, MA), Saturday, 18 April 1925:  East Douglas, April 18 - Eugene Petrie, five-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Petrie, Main street, narrowly escaped drowning late yesterday afternoon, when he was playing with a companion on the bank of the river in back of his home and fell in.  The cries of his playmate were heard by Leo Petrie, the boy's brother, who was in the barn nearby.  He rushed to the river and rescued him.  The boy was revived by first-aid treatment given by the brother, who is a member of the Boy Scouts.  He was later taken home, where Dr. John J. Quinn gave further treatment.
