Obituary: Rutland Daily Herald (Rutland, VT), Monday, 19 April 1993: South Pomfret - The funeral service for Mary Elizabeth Finn Peters, 79, who died Saturday at her home, will be held at 8 a.m. on Wednesday at the Conley Funeral Home and at 9 a.m. at Our Lady of the Lords Catholic Church in Brockton, Mass. The Rev. Manning, passtor, will officiate. Burial will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery in West Bridgewater, Mass. She was born March 4, 1914, in Brockton, daughter of Abraham and Kathryn (Flannery) Finn. She graduated from St. Patricks High School in Brockton and from the Carney Hospital for Nursing in Boston, Mass. She married Joseph E. Peters on May 20, 1942. Mrs. Peters was a registered nurse for the Boston City Hospital and Joseph's Hospital in Providence, R.I. She did private work at Braemore Nursing Home in Brockton. She was a member of Our Lady of the Snows Catholic Church in Woodstock. Survivors include her husband; three sons, Joseph Peters Jr. of Bridgewater, Mass., Jack Peters of South Pomfret and James Peters of Columbia, S.C.; three daughters, Anne Swarce and Mary Dimarzio, both of Bridgewater, Mass.; and Susan Leonard of Topsfield, Mass.; and 12 grandchildren. She was predeceased by two sisters and a brother. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday at the J. Frank Conley Funeral Home, Brockton. Local arrangements are under the direction of The Cabot Funeral Home, Woodstock.
