Obituary: Standard Union (NY), Monday, 11 March 1929:  Aubert Pitre died Saturday at his home, 105-63 139th street, South Richmond Hill.  He was a photoengraver, employed by the New York Tribune, and a member of the Photoengravers' Union.  He is survived by his widow, Etta; a daughter, Ethel; a son, Albert; his parents, Pancrede and Eva; three brothers, Harry, Fred and William, and three sisters, Dora, Nellie and Anna Pitre.  The funeral services will be held at 8 o'clock to-night.  The funeral will be held at 9:30 A.M. Wednesday, with interment at Greenwood Cemetery under direction of John S. Miller, 6419 Metropolitan avenue, Middle Village.

Ethel Isabelle Pitre:  The Central New Jersey Home News (New Brunswick, NJ), Tuesday, 23 March 1993:  Ethel I. Armstrong, 80.  Franklin - Ethel I. Armstrong of the Somerset section died Monday at Foothill Acres Nursing Home, Neshanic.  She was 80.  Born in Brooklyn, she lived in Somerset since 1965.  She was an insurance underwriter for the John J. Kelle Insurance Co. in Brooklyn, N.Y., before retiring.  She was a member of the Franklin Women's Club and the Franklin Senior Citizens.  Surviving are a daughter, Diane Cochrane of Somerset; a brother, Aubert Petrie of Stuart, Fla., and two grandchildren.  Services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at the Gleason Funeral Home, Somerset.  Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery in the Middlebush section.

 

Aubert E. Pitre:  The Stuart News (FL), Sunday, 21 April 2013:  Aubert E. "Pete" Pitre Jr., 95, died April 19, 2013, at the Treasure Coast Hospice Residence, Stuart.  He was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and lived in Stuart since 1976, coming from Pinebrook, N.J.  He was a Navy veteran.  He was a member of St. Christopher Catholic Church, Hobe Sound; Knights of Columbus; Elks Lodge; and St. Vincent de Paul Society.  Before retirement, he was an importer and exporter of exotic hardwoods.  Survivors include two nieces and two nephews.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Catherine Pitre, in 2002.  Memorial contributions may be made to St. Vincent de Paul Society.  Services: Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. April 23 at the Chapel of Martin Funeral Home/Stuart Chapel with a wake service at 6:30 p.m.  A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. April 24 at St. Christopher Catholic Church, Hobe Sound.  Entombment will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Palm City.
