Obituary:  Elhatton’s Funeral Home (Bathurst, NB):  Donat Pitre, of the Villa Chaleur, Bathurst, passed away on Friday (February 10, 2006) at his residence at the age of 93.  Born in South Tetagouche, he was the son of the late Jérôme and Marguerite (Lagacé) Pitre.  He was pre-deceased by his first wife Léa (Comeau) Pitre in 1978.  He is survived by his wife, Cécilia Duguay.  Eight children from his first marriage: Four sons: Avila Pitre (Adrienne) of Robertville, Yvon Pitre (Nicole) and Edmond Pitre (Francine) both of Ste Anne, Glou. Co., Jean-Louis Pitre of Bathurst; Four daughters: Jeannine Legacy (Alex) of Nigadoo, Diane Comeau (Paul) of Bathurst, Lorraine Ouelette (Andre) and Laurette Doiron (Leo) both of Tracadie-Sheila, NB; One brother: Stafford Pitre (Leona) of Ste Anne, Glou. Co.; One sister: Elizabeth 'Bella' Henry (late Albert) of LaPlante; Five step-grandchildren: Marguerite Robichaud (Gerald) of Allardville, Jean-Paul Duguay (Ida) of South Tetagouche, Alfred Duguay of Saint John, NB, Maria Gauvin (Leonard) of Allardville, Patrice Duguay (Debbie) of Bathurst, 20 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, step-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.  He was pre-deceased by six brother; Edmund, Georges, Philias, Alexandre, Leonard, Denis and a sister, Therese.  The family will receive relatives and friends on Monday evening (February 13, 2006) at Elhatton's Funeral Home, Bathurst, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.  Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday afternoon (February 14, 2006) at 4:00 p.m. from Holy Rosary Church, St. Peter Ave, Bathurst. Burial will be in the parish cemetery in the spring.

Obituary:  Elhatton’s Funeral Home (Bathurst, NB): Cecilia Pitre (photo) 1925 – 2015:  Bathurst – Mrs. Cécilia Pitre, 89, wife of the late Samuel Duguay and the late Donat Pitre, of Southern Comfort Home, King Ave. and formerly East Bathurst, passed away on Saturday January 24, 2015, at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst.  Born in Bathurst, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Sara (Comeau) Doucet.  She is survived by five children: Marguerite Robichaud (Gérald) and Maria Gauvin (Léonard) both of Allardville, Jean Paul Duguay (Ida) of South Tetagouche, Alfred Duguay (Marielle Richard) of Moncton and Patrice Duguay (Debbie) of Bathurst.  11 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren.  Several nieces and nephews.  She was pre-deceased by 2 grandchildren: Barbara and Terry.  The family will receive relatives and friends after 2 p.m. Wednesday January 28, 2015 at Elhatton's Funeral Home Chapel, St. George St., from where the Funeral Service will be celebrated at 4 p.m.  Arrangements are in the care of Elhatton’s Funeral Home, Bathurst.

Avila Pitre:  Elhatton’s Funeral Home (Bathurst, NB):  Avila Pitre - Robertville – Avila Pitre, 71, of Robertville and formerly of Bathurst, passed away on Sunday (July 29, 2012) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital after a lengthy illness.  Born in South Tetagouche, he was the son of the late Donat and Lea (Comeau) Pitre.  He was a former employee with Eddy’s for over 25 years.  He was pre-deceased by his first wife, Adrienne (Hache) Pitre and is survived by second wife, Emma (Hachey) (Landry) Pitre.  Four sons: Maurice Clement of Robertville, Andre Pitre (Rachelle) of Allardville, Alain Pitre (Sheila) of Moncton and Martin Pitre (Dawn Ouellette) of Pembrook, Ont.  Three daughters: Angele Bertin (Ghislain) of Dunlop, Monique Boudreau (David) of Shediac and Murielle Veilleux (Mario) of Montreal, Que.  Four sisters: Jeannine Legacy (Alex) of Nigadoo, Diane Comeau (Paul) of Bathurst, Lauraine Ouellette (Andre) and Laurette Pitre (Leo Doiron) both of Tracadie-Sheila.  Three brothers: Yvon Pitre (Nicole), Edmond Pitre (Francine) and Jean-Louis Pitre (Sylvie Basque) all of Bathurst.  15 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.  Also survived by second wife, Emma’s 8 children.  There will be no visitation at Funeral Home.  Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday afternoon (August 1, 2012) at 4:00 p.m. from Eglise Ste-Therese-d’Avila, of Robertville.  Donation in memory of Avila may be made to a charity of the donors choice.  Arrangements are in the care of Heritage Funeral Home, Beresford.
