Richard Joseph Peters:  Sun Journal (Lewiston, ME), Wednesday, 2 March 1994:  (photo)  Richard 'Pete' Peters.  Lewiston - Richard 'Pete' Peters, 62, of 14 First St., died at his home Tuesday morning after a brief illness with prostate cancer.  Born in Chelsea, Mass., Dec. 11, 1931, the son of John and Helena (McClellan) Peters.  He was a master sergeant in the U.S. Air Force, retiring after 24 years.  Mr. Peters then was employed for 14 years at Bath Iron Works.  He married Jeannette 'Jennie' Ducette at Van Buren on Dec. 29, 1959.  He resided in Lewiston for the past 20 years.  Survived by his wife, Jeannette Peters of Lewiston; his mother, Helena King of Needham, Mass.; one daughter, Mrs. John (Gayla) Fournier of Lewiston; one son, Scott Peters of Turner; one sister, Mrs. Diana Moore of Lewiston; one brother, Charles King of Holliston, Mass.; and one granddaughter, Brianna Peters of Turner.  He was predeceased by a brother, Jack Peters.
