Louis Pitre: Elhatton’s Funeral Home (Bathurst, NB): Louis Pitre 1925-2017 (photo) - Mr. Louis Pitre of Bathurst, but formerly of Beresford, passed away on Thursday, October 12, 2017, at the Chaleur Regional Hospital in Bathurst, at the age of 92, he was the husband of Irene (Frenette) Pitre. Born in Bathurst, he was the son of the late Duncan and Maria (Pitre) Pitre. Besides his wife of Beresford, he is survived by three daughters: Linda Pitre (Gary Arseneau) of Dunlop, Carole Pitre of Bathurst, Muriel Pitre of Riverview. Three grandchildren: Celine, Annie and Jonathan. One brother, Aurele Pitre of Quebec. Three sisters: Angella Mercure and Elise Craig both of Moncton, Rena Robichaud of Beresford. Several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one son, Daniel (2008). Visitation will be held on Monday, October 16, 2017 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm at Beresford Heritage Funeral Home. The funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at 11 a.m. from Saint-Nom-de-Jesus Church, Beresford.

Jeannette Pitre: Elhatton’s Funeral Home (Bathurst, NB): Beresford – Mrs. Jeannette Hachey, 75, wife of the late Ernest Hachey, of Beresford, passed away peacefully in the Palliative Care Unit at the Chaleur Regional Hospital Bathurst, after a lengthy illness, on Saturday (February 23rd, 2008). Born in Bathurst, she was the daughter of the late Duncan and Maria (Pitre) Pitre. She was pre-deceased by her husband, Ernest Hachey, in 1997. Survived by their twelve children Ronald (Francine), Victoria, BC, Fred (Linda), South Tetagouche, Rachel (Leopold Duguay), Bathurst, Nicole (Larry Baker), Lakeview, NS, Maurice (Brenda), Bathurst, Liza, Regina, SK, Marc (Lynda), Ottawa, ON, Roger (Debbie), Oshawa, ON, Daniel (Rhonda), Regina, SK, Yvon (Sylvie) Dieppe, NB, Suzanne (Glen Fox) Truro, NS, Michel (Michelle) Regina, SK. As well as 19 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Also survived by brothers and sisters Aurele (Gilberte), Quebec, Louis (Irene), Beresford, Elise Craig, Moncton, Angela (Allain Mercure), Moncton, Reina Robichaud (Magella Hachey), Beresford. As well as numerous nieces and nephews And good friend Arthur Roy. The body will rest after 2:00 p.m. Monday at Elhatton’s Funeral Home, Bathurst. A Funeral Service will be celebrated on Tuesday (February 26, 2008) at 2:00 p.m. from the Funeral Home Chapel with Father Edmond Chamberlain officiating. Burial will be in the Holy Rosary Cemetery, Bathurst, in the spring. For anyone wishing to send tokens of sympathy, the family would appreciate donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or a favorite charity. Visiting hours are Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9.
