It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Laurent Pitre on Saturday November 21st 2009 at the age of 78. Son of the late Charles-Emile Pitre and the late Nellie Davidson. He leaves behind his sisters Jeannine and Huguette. He also leaves many family and friends. He was predeceased by his brothers and sister Normand (late Jeannine Coulombe), Lucien (Anita Sabourin), Lorraine (Alois Wedemann). A memorial service will be held on Saturday November 28th 2009 at 9:30 a.m. at Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes Church (435, Montreal Rd., Ottawa). In memory of Laurent, donations to the Diabetes Association would be appreciated.
Joseph Jean Jacques Norman Gabriel Pitre: Mr. Normand Pitre died 20 April 2009 at The Mathieu-Froment-Savoie House, at the age of 76 years. He was the husband of the late Jeannine Coulombe and the son of the late Charles-Emile Pitre and the late Nellie Davidson. Predeceased by his son, Richard Pitre (Michele Langlois). He is survived by his children: Robert (Sylvie Menard), Johanne (Daniel Brunet) and Dominique (Odette Mayer); 6 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren; his sisters: Huguette and Jeannine (late Robert Poulin) also his brother Laurent. He also leaves many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces and friends. He was predeceased by his brother, Lucien (late Anita Sabourin) and his sister Lorraine (Alois Weideman). The family wish to thank the personnel from The Mathieu-Froment-Savoie House for their excellent care given to Normand. Your messages of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Maison-Mathieu-Froment-Savoie. According to Normand's wishes, there will be no celebration.

Unexpectedly on Thursday, June 13, 2002 at the Ottawa Heart Institute, at age 58. Beloved wife of Alois, devoted mother of Bettina, Louis, Paul and the late Karl. Dear sister of Laurent, Normand, Huguette, Jeannine Poulin and the late Lucien. After serving with "Les Filles de la Sagesse" for six years, Lorraine then married in 1970. She was a committed French immersion teacher at Kars and John Young Public Schools. A wonderful friend, caregiver and inspiration to all. Lorraine is now reunited with her son Karl. Friends may visit at the West Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, Ottawa, on Friday, June 21, 2002 from 1-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass to be celebrated at St. Remi Roman Catholic Church, Ottawa on Saturday, June 22, 2002, at 11 a.m. Reception to follow in the church hall. Memorial donations to the University of Ottawa Heart Institute would be appreciated.
