Obituary Pitre:  The Ottawa Journal (Ottawa, ONT), Saturday, 11 August 1962:  In hospital at Hawkesbury on Thursday, August 9, 1962, Zenophile Pitre, beloved husband of the late Rose Aime Caron and Lucia Pauquette, dear father of Jean Pitre, high school teacher at Plantagenet.  Resting Noel Funeral Home, 416 McGill, Hawkesbury.  Services Monday, August 13, at 9:45 to Alphonse de Liguori Church for Requiem Mass at 10 a.m. Interment local cemetery.

Obituary:  The Ottawa Citizen (Ottawa, ONT), Thursday, 16 February 1984:  Mrs. Zenophile Pitre (Lucia Paquette).  Of Buckingham on Wednesday, February 15, 1984 at the age of 88, sister of Annette Paquette of Buckingham.  Step-mother of Jean of Ottawa.  Also many nephews and nieces.  Resting at the Brunet Funeral Home, Buckingham.  Funeral Friday, February 17 in St. Gregoire Church at 3 p.m.  Interment Parish Cemetery.

Joseph Telesphore Zenophile Jean Pitre:  The Ottawa Citizen (Ottawa, ONT), Tuesday, 23 November 1993:  Jean Pitre.  Past President of the Richelieu Laurier Club.  At his residence, after a lengthy illness, on Sunday, November 21, 1993, at the age of 57 years.  Jean Pitre, dear husband of Suzanne Prevost.  Father of Jean-Francois (Stella Desjarlais) of Yellowknife, Northwest Territories, Nicole (Marc Despatie) of Navan, Louise Pitre of Hull and Marie-Josee (Philip Bennett) of Ottawa.  Grandfather of Andre-Philippe, Rene-Charles Pitre, Catherine and Marie-Pier Despatie.  Survived by 8 brothers-in-law, 9 sisters-in-law of the Prevost family.  Also survived by several cousins and good friends.  Visitation Tuesday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m. at Racine, Robert & Gauthier Funeral Directors, Vanier.  Eucharistic Celebration Wednesday, November 24th, at Notre Dame de Lourdes Church, Cyrville, at 11 a.m.  Interment Notre Dame Cemetery, Ottawa.  Donations to the Richelieu Foundation appreciated.
