Obituary:  The Times Transcript (Moncton, NB), Monday, 20 February 1978:  Bathurst - The death of Aurele Pitre of Beresford and formerly of East Bathurst occurred at Chaleur General Hospital Sunday after a lengthy illness.  He was 67.  Born in Bathurst, he was a son of the late Joseph and Elizabeth (Godin) Pitre.  He was employed with Consolidate Bathurst as a machine tender before retirement in 1975 and was a member of Quarter Century Club.  He is survived by his wife, the former Ella Pienneau; two sons, Roderick of Edmonton, Alta., Jean-Claude of Bathurst; one step-son, Roger Chaisson of Oshawa, Ont.; one daughter, Mrs. Adrienne Watson, Ont.; three brothers, Rudolph and Clarence, both of Bathurst, Arthur of Ottawa, Ont.; three sisters, Mrs. Macrina Blanchard, Mrs. Allie Lavigne (Maida) both of Bathurst, Mrs. Joseph Aubie (Gertrude) of Montreal, Que., 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.  The body is resting at Elhatton's funeral home, Bathurst.  The funeral mass will be celebrated Tuesday at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Roman Catholic Church, Bathurst.  Entombment will be in the parish cemetery vault to await burial in the spring.
