After a lengthy battle against Alzheimer's and a brief fight against cancer, surrounded by loving family at Port Perry Place on Thursday, January 29, 2015 in his 82 year. Beloved husband of the late Rita (nee Landry). Loving father of Sharon Woods (Bill), Darryl (Heather), Janet Jackett (Bruce), Eric (Heather), Kenneth (Susan). Proud Grandpa of Billy, Kelly, Dan, Sean, Chris, Brandon, Jordan, Neal, Jennifer, Mike, Dave, Jean and Roger and Great Grandpa to Lyla, Cayden, Grace, Madison, Morgan, Hazel and Bean. Predeceased by his second wife Veronica Skinner and his parents Arthur and Ida Pitre. Dear brother of Jane, Evangeline, Elizabeth, Roger, Carmella, Rosemarie, and the late Rita, Gerard, Herman, Rheal and Johnnie. Remembered by numerous nieces and nephews. Emile will be dearly missed by all that were fortunate enough to have him in their lives. Resting at the Armstrong Funeral Home, Oshawa. Visitation will be held on Monday February 2, 2015 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. with Funeral Service in the chapel on Tuesday February 3, 2015 at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery in Whitby. Memorial donations in lieu of flowers to The Alzheimer’s Society or The R. S. McLaughlin Durham Regional Cancer Centre would be greatly appreciated by the family.
