Obituary:  The Daily Advertiser (Lafayette, LA), Tuesday, 3 April 1984:  Funeral services will be held at a 2 p.m. Mass Wednesday at St. Genevieve Catholic Church for Mrs. Mary Alice Poche, 71, who died at Lafayette General Hospital Monday at 3 p.m.  Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.  Mrs. Poche was a native of Poche Bridge in St. Martin Parish, the daughter of the late Pebelton Poche and the former Louise Guidry.  She retired in 1972 from the Lafayette Parish School Board after more than 20 years in the food service division.  She was a member of St. Genevieve Church.  Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. John Allen (Vivian) Breaux and Mrs. Vernon (Louwellyn) Godeau, both of Lafayette; four sisters, Mrs. Leo (Loretta) LeBlanc, Mrs. Howard (Esther) Key, Mrs. John (Jocelyn) Mathieu, all of Lafayette, and Mrs. Joseph (Ethel) Powell of Scott; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.  A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today in the funeral home.  The family requests that visiting hours be observed until 10 p.m. today and from 7 a.m. to service time Wednesday.  Delhomme Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mary Vivian Pitre:  Daily Advertiser (Lafayette, LA), Monday, 28 January 2013:  (photo) Lafayette - Funeral Services will be held at a 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, January 29, 2013 in the Delhomme Chapel of trhe Flowers for Mary Vivian Breaux, 76, who passed away on January 26, 2013 at 4:20 pm at Lafayette General Medical Center.  Reverend Ed Degeyter will be Celebrant of the Mass and will conduct the funeral services.  Burial will take place in Calvary Cemetery.  Mrs. Breaux, a resident of Lafayette, LA, was the daughter of the late Allen Pitre of Lafayette, Louisiana and the former Mary Alice Poche of Breaux Bridge, Louisiana.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.  She will always be remembered for her big smile and her loving ways.  She is survived by her husband, John Allen Breaux; her daughters, Monique B. Saltzman and Trina Breaux; her son, Mark Breaux; her grandchildren, Larry Jr., Danielle, Angelique, Logan, Alyssa, Jean-Pierre; her great-grandchildren, Kamson, MacKenzi, Collin and her sister, Louwellyn Goudeau.  She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Alice Poche, her father, Allen Pitre; her grandmother, Louise Powell and her brother, Norman Pitre.  The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Delhomme Funeral Home of Lafayette on Monday, January 28, 2013 from 3:00 pm until 10:00 pm.  A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm on Monday evening in the funeral home.  Visiting hours will continue Tuesday from 8:00 am until time of service.  Pallbearers will be Mark Breaux, Logan Breaux, Larry Saltzman, Sr., Larry Saltzman, Jr., Charles Hulin and Brian Vincent.  Delhomme Funeral Home is in charge of funeral arrangements.

Louwellyn Pitre:  Martin & Castille Funeral Home:  Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 29, 2022 at 10:30 AM in La Chapelle de Martin & Castille in Lafayette, for Louwellyn Ann Pitre Goudeau, age 84, who passed away on Monday, January 24, 2022 at Mercy Regional Medical Center in Ville Platte.  Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.  Survivors include one son, John Goudeau; her daughters, Eileen Goudeau, Sharon Goudeau, and Angela Goudeau; nine grandchildren, Joshua Cordova and wife Kayla, Amy Lee, Matthew Tyl and wife Jandy, Sara Clark, Jesse Clark, Andrea Rogers, Jude Rogers and wife Jasmine, Ashley Goudeau, and Chelsey Goudeau; and eight great-grandchildren, Jaxson and Colson Cordova, Jayden and Kinsey Lee, Levi and Lily Tyl, and Griffin and Ivan Goudeau.  She is also survived by an aunt, Ethel Powell; and nieces and nephews.  Louwellyn was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Allen Pitre and Mary Alice Poche Pitre; her son, Brett Goudeau; her daughter, Carolyn Goudeau; a stillborn son; her brother, Norman J. Pitre; and her sister, Vivian Breaux.  A native and resident of Lafayette since 1937, Ms. Goudeau was a parishioner of St. Genevieve Catholic Church since her baptism.  She graduated from Lafayette Senior High School Class of '55.  She was a former member of Acadiana Chapter of United States Power Squadrons, Lafayette Garden Club, Bonsai Society of Acadiana, Louisiana Society for Horticultural Research, and was a member of the Society for Louisiana Irises.  Ms. Goudeau was awarded the Certificate of Service in 2008 by the Society for Louisiana Irises.

Norman James Pitre:  The Daily Advertiser (Lafayette, LA), Saturday, 12 April 1941:  Norman James Pitre, two-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Allen Pitre, died at his parents' home in this city at 11:30 p.m. Friday.  Funeral services will be held at St. Genevieve's Catholic church at 4:30 o'clock this afternoon and interment will be in St. Bernard cemetery in Breaux Bridge.  Beside the parents, two sisters, Mary Vivian and Lou Ellen Pitre survive.  Funeral arrangements are in charge of Martin and Castille.
