Obituary: Telegraph Journal (St. John, NB), Monday, 14 April 1969: St. Stephen - Albert Joseph Peters died at Saint John General Hospital on Friday following a lengthy illness. He was 61. Born in Amherst, he was a son of Jerome and Catherine (Gallant) Peters. A decorator painter by trade, Mr. Peters specialized in oil painting decoration in various churches throughout the Maritime provinces and has done decorative work in his home church the Holy Rosary Church of which he was a member. He was married to the former Miss Clara Ruth Watson. He was a member of the Holy Name Society and was a Grand Knight of the St. Croix Council No. 140 Knights of Columbus in Calais, Me. Besides his wife, he is survived by one son, Joseph Albert Peters of Milltown; one daughter, Mrs. Gordon Murray of Robinsonville, four brothers, Francis X. Peters of Revere, Mass., Joseph J. Peters of Wilmington, Mass., Henry J. Peters of Everett, Mass., and Wilfred J. Peters of North Weymouth, Mass.; four sisters, Mrs. John Armstrong of Revere, Mass., Mrs. Margaret Haumann of Chelsea, Mass., Mrs. Michael Hourilan of Everett, Mass., and Mrs. John Holland of Revere, Mass., five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Resting at the S. O. Mehan and Son Funeral Home from where the funeral will be held this morning from Holy Rosary Church for high mass of requiem at 10 a.m. Interment will take place at the Milltown Cemetery.
