Obituary: Lafourche Daily Comet (LA), March 1991: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1 p.m. Friday for Joseph "T-Joe" Tony Pitre, 76, a native of Golden Meadow and former resident of Galliano and resident of Houma who died at 12:59 a.m. Thursday (21st). Visitation will be from 5 to 10 p.m. and from 8 a.m. until funeral time Friday at Falgout Funeral Home in Houma. The Rosary will be recited today at 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment is in Holy Savior Cemetery. He was the husband of Bella Arcement Pitre and father of Dolores Pitre Cheramie and Phyllis Pitre Cullo of Houston. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Arthelise Guilbeaux Pitre; and two brothers, Henry Pitre and William "Yum" Pitre. He is also survived by four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was a parishioner of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Houma. Falgout Funeral Homes, Houma, is in charge of arrangements.

Courier (Houma, LA), Monday, 1 November 2004: Bella Arcement Pitre,
84, a native of Raceland, former resident of Galliano and resident of Houma,
died at 8:06 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 30, 2004. Visitation will be from 6 to 10
p.m. Tuesday and from 8 a.m. to funeral time Wednesday at Falgout Funeral Home
in Houma. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with
burial in Holy Savior Cemetery in Lockport. She is survived by two
daughters, Dolores Pitre Cheramie and husband, Claude, of Houma, and
Phyllis Pitre Zullo and husband, Ernest, of Weeki
Wachee, Fla.; one brother, Andrew Arcement of Thibodaux; four sisters,
Clara A. Pasqua and Sarah A. Legendre, both of Thibodaux, Della A.
Blanchard and Doris A. Daigneault, both of Houma; four grandchildren,
Shane A. Cheramie and wife, Rayann, of Houma, Selena Cheramie Shannon and
husband, Casey, of Patterson, Sonya Hebert Matherne and husband, Curt,
of Lockport, and James L. Hebert and wife, Michelle, of Houston; two
step-grandchildren, Ernest Zullo III and Catie Zullo Putt and husband, Mark,
of Colorado; five great-grandchildren,
Sarah Domangue, Rebecca Domangue, Brady T. Shannon, Megan A. Matherne and
Shane Julian Cheramie; and five step-great-grandchildren, Jacob

She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph "T-Joe" Pitre; her
parents, Furcy and Sarah Champagne Arcement; and three brothers,
Murray Arcement, Morgan "Pip" Arcement and Howard Arcement. She was a
retired employee of Our Lady of the Sea Hospital in Galliano. Falgout
Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Chauvin Funeral Home. Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Holy Savior
Catholic Church in Lockport, with burial in the church cemetery. She is
survived by her son, Shane A. Cheramie and wife, Ray Ann of Houma;
daughter, Selena Cheramie Shannon and husband, Casey of Berwick;
grandchildren, Sarah Marie Domangue, Rebecca Ann Domangue, Brady Timothy
Shannon, and Shane Julian Cheramie and wife, Rebecca; step-grandchildren,
Jacob Micheal Broussard and John Michael Broussard; step-great-grandchild,
McKenzie Miller; and sister, Phyllis Pitre Zullo and husband, Ernie.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Claude Joseph Cheramie; and
parents, Joseph Anthony Pitre and Bella Elizabeth Arcement Pitre.
She was a retired Medical Transcriptionist at Terrebonne General Medical Center.
Dolores also known as "Granny" was a kind and loving person and enjoyed anytime
spent with her family. Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
