Obituary:  Telegraph Journal (St. John, NB), Wednesday, 26 September 1973:  Pitre - At the Collingwood Nursing Home, Pennfield, Sept. 25, 1973, Joseph Pitre of Utopia, Charlotte County; survived by his wife, three daughters, five sons, three brothers, one sister, 16 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.  Resting at the St. George Funeral Home where the rosary will be said Wednesday at 8 p.m.  Funeral will be held Thursday morning at 8:30 a.m., when the body will be taken to Stella Maris Church, Black's Harbour, for high mass of requiem at 9 a.m.  Interment in Stella Maris Cemetery.

Obituary:  The passing of Mary Adelia "Ada" (Bertin) (Pitre) Everitt, the wife of the late Joseph A. Pitre and Norman E. Everitt occurred at the Passamaquoddy Lodge, St. Andrews NB on January 9, 2017.  Born in Belldune NB on May 2, 1921, she was a daughter of the late Lawrence and Mary (Legacy) Bertin.  A loving mother, grandmother,
great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother and sister she is survived by three daughters: Lynn Blanchard of Ontario, Mary Kennedy (Albert) of Blacks Harbour NB and Adela Thompson (Roger) of Pennfield NB; three sons: Larry Pitre (Bonnie) and Raymond Pitre (Helen Richard) both of Pennfield NB and Victor Pitre (Brenda) of Beaver Harbour NB; 18 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; three brothers: Richard (May) Bertin of Saint John NB, John Guitard of Pennfield NB and Edward (Olivia) Guitard of Maces Bay NB; one sister:
Mary Guitard of St. George NB; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.  Besides her parents and husbands, Ada was predeceased by sons: Zoel, Emile and Norman.  Prior to retirement Ada worked as a labourer for Connor's Bros. for
many years.  She kept busy tending to her large family and loved knitting mittens and socks for her loved ones.  Her kind heart and great sense of humor will be sadly missed by all who knew her.  Arrangements in the care of the St. George Funeral Home, St. George NB.  Resting at the funeral home with visiting on Wednesday from 7-9 pm.  The service will take place in the funeral home chapel on Thursday at 2:00 pm with Father Rolando Suplido officiating.  Interment will be held in the Stella Maris Catholic Cemetery, Blacks Harbour NB in the spring.  In Ada's memory, donations to Charlotte County Cancer or to a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.

Zoel Pitre:  The Ottawa Citizen (ONT), Friday 19 July 1957:  Zoel Pitre, 19 b. Jacquet River of Belledune NB drowned on 18 July.  Brother Emile of Cyrville, parents M&M Joseph Pitre, sisters Adelina & Marie Helene, 4 brothers Norman, Laurence, Raymond & Victor.
- The Ottawa Citizen (Ottawa, ONT), Friday, 19 July 1957:  Zoel Pitre – On Thursday, July 18, 1957, as result of drowning Zoel Pitre, age 19 years.  Leaving McEvoy Brothers today enroute to Belledune, New Brunswick.  Funeral Monday.  Requiem Mass and burial at Turgeon, New Brunswick.
