Wilfred Pitre: The Charlottetown Guardian (PEI), Thursday, 2 January 1958: Peters - At the Prince Edward Island Hospital January 1, 1958, Wilfred Peters, formerly of Hope River in his 65th year. His remains will rest at the Charlottetown Funeral Home until funeral arrangements are completed.
- The Charlottetown Guardian (PEI), Saturday, 4 January 1958: Funeral Saturday - The funeral of Wilfred Peters was held Saturday morning from the Charlottetown Funeral Home to St. Ann's Church, Hope River, where Requiem High Mass was celebrated by Rev. Earl Dalton, P.P., who also conducted the service at the grave. Rev. Francis Bolger was present in the Sanctuary. The pallbearers were Louis Walsh, John Walsh, Stephen Walsh, Emeric Walsh, Elmer Power, Edward Power. Interment was in the Church Cemetery. The funeral was very largely attended.
