Obituary:  Lafourche Daily Comet:  Genevieve Pitre, 84, a native and resident of Houma, March 16, 2003.  Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today and from 8 to 10 a.m. Tuesday at Falgout Funeral Home in Houma.  A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with burial at St Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2.  She is survived by her son, Elterry Pitre; daughter, Derline Whiddon; brothers, Ray and Lee Alonzo; sister, Mae Chauvin; eight grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Harris Pitre; parents, Edgard LeBlanc and Anelia Cunningham Alonzo; son, Willie Pitre; brothers, Mike, George and Leroy Alonzo; and one great-grandchild.

Willie Paul Pitre:  Houma Courier (LA), Tuesday, 19 August 1997:  Willie Paul Pitre Sr., 46, a native of New Orleans and resident of Houma, died at 11:45 pm Monday, August 18, 1997.  Visitation will be from 6 to 10 pm today at Falgout Funeral Home in Houma and from 8 am to funeral time Wednesday at Holy Rosary Catholic Church.  The rosary will be recited at 7 pm today at the funeral home.  Mass will be at 10 am Wednesday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery.  He is survived by his friend, Judith Darcey of Thibodaux; his mother, Genevieve LeBlanc Pitre of Houma; two sons, Scott Joseph and Will Paul Pitre Jr., both of Houma; one brother, Elterry Pitre of Houma; one sister, Derline Pitre Whiddon of DeRidder and two grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his father, Harris Paul Pitre.  He was a heavy equipment foreman for Quality Shipyard and a parishioner of Holy Rosary Catholic Church.
