Obituary:  Springfield Union News (MA), Wednesday, 14 September 1994:  Henry O. Peets, 68, area Knights leader - Henry O. Peets, 68, of 42 Sandra St., Fairview, a founder of Fairview Council 4044 of the Knights of Columbus, died Monday at Providence Hospital in Holyoke.  He was a member and past grand knight in 1962-1963, and was a founder of the Fairview Council.  Its first home was the old St. Anne's Chapel.  He was instrumental in moving the council to two locations on Montcalm Street, and in 1979 he helped it buy and renovate a former Big Y grocery building on Memorial Drive.  This became the council's headquarters.  Peets was a president of the Knights of Columbus Home Association for 37 years, and a member of the Archbishop Williams Assembly of the fourth degree.  He retired in 1991 as a supervisor and inspector for the Massachusetts Turnpike Authority.  He was responsible for the entire highway, and worked out of the Chicopee and Westfield maintenance areas.  He had worked for 20 years as traffic manager for B.F. Perkins Co. in Willimansett.  Born in Holyoke, he was a Navy veteran of World War II, and served with the Seabees (Naval Construction Battalions).  He settled in Fairview in 1952, and was a communicant and usher for many years at St. Anne's Church.  He served on the city's Planning Board, and was a Hampden County deputy sheriff.  He was in the Holyoke Revolver Club.  He leaves his wife of 50 years, the former Aleda M. "Lee" Lincourt; a daughter, Barbara L. Bennett of Fairview; a granddaughter, and several nephews and nieces.  A full Knights of Columbus funeral will be conducted Friday morning at Phaneuf-Blais Fairview Funeral Chapels and the church, with burial at Precious Blood Cemetery in South Hadley.  Calling hours are set for Thursday afternoon and evening.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Henry Peets Memorial Scholarship Fund, in care of Knights of Columbus Council 4044, Chicopee.

Obituary:  The Republican (Springfield, MA), Wednesday, 14 January 2004:  1923 - 2004, Chicopee - Aleda M. "Lee" (Lincourt) Peets, 80, a longtime resident of the Fairview section of Chicopee was called safely home on Friday January 9, 2004 in Pinellas Park, Florida with her loving family at her side.  She was employed for many years as a coat checker for the Castle of Knights Meeting and Banquet House on Memorial Drive in Fairview.  She previously was a longtime switchboard operator for the B. F. Perkins Company in Willimansett.  She was born in Holyoke on May 18, 1923 and moved to the Fairview section of Chicopee in 1952 where she lived until moving to Pinellas Park, Florida in June of 2002.  She was a communicant of Saint Anne Church in Fairview.  Her beloved husband, Henry O. Peets was called home on September 12, 1994.  She leaves her loving daughter, Barbara L. Bennett of Pinellas Park, FL.  Her beloved granddaughter, Jodi Marie Bennett of St. Petersburg, FL.  Her dear sister, Anita H. Baxter of Chicopee and her many dear nephews and nieces.  She was predeceased by her dear brother, Russell Lincourt and her dear sister, Aurelia C. Peloquin.  Her funeral will be held on Friday morning January 16, 2004 at 8:45 a.m. from the Phaneuf-Blais Fairview Funeral Chapels in Chicopee followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:45 a.m. in Saint Anne Church in Fairview.  Her burial will follow the Mass at Precious Blood Cemetery on Willimansett Street in South Hadley.  Her family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday January 15, 2004 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.  For those that prefer to make a memorial donation, they may be made in her memory to either St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Memphis, TN or to the Knights of Columbus Council 4044 Scholarship Fund, Chicopee, MA.
