Sedlak, local Army Recruiting Officer at the post office building in this city announces the enlistment of Joseph Peterson of 9 Underwood Ave., Plattsburgh, and Hector L. Peterson of Higginum, Conn., on August 18th, for the Infantry branch of service in the Hawaiian Islands.  Both these young men are the sons of Mrs. Tina Peterson of 9 Underwood Ave., this city......


Obituary:  The Republican (Springfield, MA), Friday, 11 April 2003:  1920 - 2003  Ware - Hector L. Peterson, Sr., 83, of 4 Cummings Rd., died Wednesday in Mary Lane Hospital.  He was the husband of the late Ruby (Bradley) Peterson.  He leaves 5 sons, Lawrence H., James B., Roger P. and Hector Jr., all of Ware, and Eugene O. of Florida; 3 daughters, Bonnie Fisher of Governor, NY, Susan Caszoil of Hammond, NY, and Annette Mercure of Mechanic Falls, Maine; 1 sister, Marjorie Lavarnway of Chicopee; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  He was predeceased by 5 sons, Clarence, Jerry, Norris, John and David.  He was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII, serving throughout the European Theatre.  He worked as a plumber for many years, last working for Larry Allard Plumbing.  He was born in Windsor Locks, CT, son of Mitchell and Tina (Stone) Pete, and had lived in Ware since 1969.  Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Charbonneau Funeral Home, with burial in Aspen Grove Cemetery.  Calling hours will be held on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Shriner's Children's Hospital, Springfield, MA or to the Medical Program, St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, Memphis, TN.

(Bradley) Peterson, 74, of 4 Cummings Rd., died Tuesday in Baystate Medical Center.  She leaves her husband of 56 years, Hector L. Peterson.  She also leaves 6 sons, Larry, James and Roger Peterson of Ware, Jerry of Palmer, Eugene of Silver Springs, Florida, and Hector J. of Rutland, MA; 1 sister, Doris Trombly of Palmer, MA; 24 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.  She was predeceased by 3 sons, Norris, John and David Peterson.  She was born in Beekmantown, NY, daughter of Henry and Aura (Hayes) Bradley.  She had lived in Easthampton, MA and came to Ware in 1969.  She was a graduate of Morrisonville, NY High School and worked as a Charge Attendant for 22 years at the Northampton State Hospital.  A graveside funeral service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in Aspen Grove Cemetery from the Charbonneau Funeral Home, Ware.  Calling hours will be, on Friday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.

Eugene Oliver Peterson:  The Republican (Springfield, MA), Saturday, 20 March 2010:  1949-2010  Ware - Eugene O. Peterson, 60, of 4 Cummings Rd. passed away on Thursday March 18th in Mary Lane Hospital.  He was born in Holyoke son of Hector and Ruby (Bradley) Peterson and was a long time Ware resident.  Eugene worked as a self-employed handyman.  He leaves his longtime friend and companion Lori Croteau in Florida, his daughter Holly Marciniec of Palmer, his brothers Lawrence and James Sr. of Palmer and Roger and Hector of Ware, his half sisters Annette Dube in Maine and Susan Cazziol and Bonnie Price both in New York, as well as his grandchildren Alyssa, Adam and Evan, and also many nephews and nieces.  Besides his parents he was also predeceased by his brothers Jerry, Norris, John and David.  A Funeral service will be held on Monday at 6pm at the Charbonneau Funeral Home in Ware.  Calling hours will be held on Monday from 4 to 7 pm.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his name to the American Cancer Society, Holyoke Ma.

 

Norris Wayne Peterson:  Sunday Republican (Springfield, MA), Sunday, 27 October 1996:  Norris W. Peterson, 44, of 4 Cummings Road, died Friday at home.  He was an employee of Thomas Drummond Painters in Ware.  Born in Holyoke, he attended Easthampton High School and earned his general education diploma while in military service.  He served in the Marine Corps during the Vietnam War era and attained the rank of lance corporal.  He was senior warden of the Barre 13 Masonic Lodge and was working toward the 32nd degree at the time of his death.  He leaves his two sons, Norris Jr. of Florida and Eric of Boston; a daughter, Christina Magilo of Hinesville, Ga., his parents, Hector and Ruby A. (Bradley) Peterson of Ware; eight brothers, Larry, Eugene, James, Roger, John and David all of Ware, Jerry of Palmer and Hector Jr. of Rutland; and his fiance, Marlene Blair of Ware; and three grandchildren.

Roger P. Peterson:  The Republican (Springfield, MA), Tuesday, 18 April 2017:  Roger P. Peterson, 59 passed away unexpectedly and peacefully in his home on April 12, 2017.  Born on November 11, 1957 in New York to Hector and Ruby (Bradley) Peterson he was one of nine children.  Roger lived in East Hampton as a child, and moved to Ware where he met and married Diana Finney on December 2, 1978.  Besides Diana, he leaves behind his daughter Jennifer and (Ian) McMartin, his sons Roger and (Crystal) Peterson, Matthew and (Amanda Young), and Devin and (Chelsea Crittenden).  Of all the titles Roger had, the one that brought him the most pride was Poppa.  He also leaves behind his grandchildren, Dustin, Mackenzie, Isaac Peterson and Lachlan McMartin, plus three brothers and many nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws.  His parents and five of his brothers predeceased him.  Roger proudly served his country as a United States Marine during the Vietnam War, and was also a member of the National Guard.  For Roger, there was no such thing as a stranger, just a friend he hadn't made yet.  Above all Roger was a family man, his love and dedication to his family was his defining characteristic.  He worked at American Trucking as the best driver they'll ever have.  Roger will be remembered for his smile, sense of humor and willingness to always lend a helping hand.  For those who had the fortune of knowing him, he was always a phone call away and would answer that call every time.  With all the love he had, he would always "Love you more".  A Funeral Service for Roger will be held on Friday, April 21, 2017 at 10:00 AM in the Charbonneau Funeral Home in Ware.  Calling hours will be held on Thursday, April 20, 2017 from 4 to 7 PM in the funeral home.  Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Town of Ware, c/o Aspen Grove Cemetery Gift Account, Ware, MA.

 

John F. Peterson:  Worcester Telegram & Gazette (MA), Friday, 19 December 1997:  Ware - John F. Peterson, 33, of Cummings Road, a self-employed plumber's assistant, died yesterday at home after an illness.  He leaves his parents, Hector and Ruby (Bradley) Peterson; seven brothers, Larry Peterson, Eugene Peterson, James Peterson, Roger Peterson and David Peterson, all of Ware, Jerry Peterson of Palmer and Hector Peterson Jr. of Rutland; nephews and nieces.  He was born in Holyoke, and lived here most of his life.  He graduated from Ware High School.  A funeral service will be held 9:30 a.m. Monday in Charbonneau Funeral Home.  Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery.  Calling hours are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow at the funeral home.

David H. Peterson:  Sunday Republican (Springfield, MA), Sunday, 4 April 1999:  Ware - David H. Peterson, 32, of 212 East Greenwich Plains Road, died Saturday at Mary Lane Hospital.  He was a contractor for Teagno Construction Inc., Amherst.  Born in Holyoke, he graduated from Ware High School in 1985 and lived most of his life here.  He was an assistant Tiger Cub Scout coach and 4-H leader.  He leaves two sons, Colby and Ethan at home; two stepsons, Josh Hearne and Nicholas Carbone, both of Ware; two stepdaughters, Ashley Carbone and Jordan Carbone, both of Ware; his parents, Hector and Ruby (Bradley) Peterson of Ware; six brothers, Lawrence, James, and Roger, all of Ware, Jerry of Palmer, Eugene of Florida and Hector of Rutland; and his fiance, Jacqueline Hearne Carbone of Ware.  The funeral will be Tuesday morning at Charbonneau Funeral Home, with burial in Aspen Grove Cemetery.  Calling hours are Monday afternoon and evening.
