Obituary: Lafourche Daily Comet (LA): Marie Fournier Pitre, 88, a native and resident of Raceland, died at 12:10 a.m. Jan. 3, 2005. Visitation will be 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and 8 to 11 a.m. Thursday at Falgout Funeral Home in Raceland. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary's Nativity Catholic Church in Raceland, with burial at the church cemetery. She is survived by her son, Benton Pitre; and his fiancee, Twila Quick; brothers, Glynn, Gene and Peter Fournier; grandchild, Nicole Pitre; and step-grandchild, Coy Thibodaux. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Pitre; parents, Etienne "T-Chan" and Cecile Lodridge Fournier; brothers, John, Herbert, Novene, Etienne, Alden, Lester and Robert Fournier. She was a parishioner of St. Mary's Nativity Church in Raceland. Falgout Funeral Home of Raceland is in charge of arrangements.

Pitre of Arkansas; one stepbrother, Benton Pitre of Raceland, seven grandchildren, Mrs. Jamie (Kimberly) Boudreaux of San Diego, Tiana LeBouef Solet, Celeste Redmond, Megan Redmond, Garret LeBouef and Sarah LeBouef, all of Houma, and Lance LeBouef of LaPlace; and four great-grandchildren, Gavin Solet and Cameron Solet, both of Houma, and Angel LeBouef and Lacy LeBouef, both of LaPlace. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert "Capt. Bob" LeBouef Sr.; her parents, Henry J. and Venicia Pitre; and one son, Alvin Paul LeBouef. He was born May 10, 1933 in Houma, Louisiana to Mr. and Mrs. Henry Pitre. He was in management in the Oil Industry. He was a member of Saint Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Rogers. He served in the United States Navy. He was preceded in death by his mother; his father, Henry Pitre (and wife, Marie); and his first wife, Regie Nell (Dye) Pitre. He is survived by his wife, Delores Jean Pitre of the home; three sons, Decatur Pitre Jr. (and wife, Cindy) of Grantville, Georgia; Glenn Pitre Sr. (and wife, Jennifer) of Houma, Louisiana, and Dwayne Pitre (and wife, Carol) of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; five step-sons, Randy Hughes (and wife, Sue) of Rogers, Greg Hughes (and wife, Chris) of Sorrento, Louisiana, Clint Dornan (and wife, Gayle) of Rogers, Kirk Dornan (and wife, Debbie) of Springdale, and Russell Dornan (and wife, Mia) of Port Neches, Texas; one step-daughter, Julie Hale of Bella Vista; one half-brother, Benton Pitre (and wife, Twyla); 17 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
