- 26 May 1916:  Mr. Harry Pitre, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ambrose Pitre, who has just graduated from the Lafayette Industrial Institute, returned home Wednesday afternoon.

 

Obituary:  San Antonio Express (TX), Wednesday, 4 December 1968:  Col. Harry Joseph Pitre, USAF Ret. of 114 Northaven Drive, born in Fenton, Louisiana, June 11, 1899, passed away Tuesday December 3, 1968 at the age of 69 years.  Col. Pitre has lived in San Antonio for the past 37 years, was a member of the St. Mark's Methodist Church and is survived by his wife Mrs. Grace McRell Pitre of San Antonio; a sister, Mrs. Jasper (Bessie Mae) Pitre of Lake Charles, La.; a niece, Mrs. Joseph (Carole) Spano of Big Springs, Texas and an uncle, Mr. Sidney Pitre of Fenton, La.  Funeral services are pending and will be announced in later papers by a member of The Cude Family, Alamo Funeral Home.

Obituary:  San Antonio Express (San Antonio, TX), Tuesday, 28 October 1969:  Mrs. Grace Joy Pitre, 114 Northhaven Drive, born in Woodville, Texas Nov. 19, 1892, passed away Mon. Oct. 27, 1969 in a local hospital at the age of 76 years.  Funeral services will be held from St. Marks Methodist Church, 1902 Vance Jackson, Tues. Oct. 28th at 12:30 p.m. with Rev. Dale B. Hasson officiating.  Interment will be in Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.  Survivors: Sisters, Miss Ruby McRell, Mrs. R. G. (Joyce) Shaw, both of San Antonio, Mrs. B. S. (Ruth) Biggs Pleasanton, Calif., Mrs. C. R. (Bernice) Woodrome, Beeville, Texas; niece, Miss Miriam Smith, Houston, Texas; several other nieces and nephews.  Pallbearers will be Herbert Guest, S. J. Sebera, Wm. A. Danes, James K. Richards, Landow M. Haddock and Robert E. Borg.  Mrs. Pitre was a member of St. Marks Methodist Church and has been a resident of San Antonio for the past 38 years.  Services under the direction of The Cude Family, Alamo Funeral Home.
