Obituary:  Springfield Union (Springfield, MA), Sunday, 22 October 1950:  Easthampton - Harry J. Peets.  Easthampton, Oct. 21 - Harry J. Peets, 56, of 38 Cottage St., died today in Cooley Dickinson Hospital after a brief illness.  He was born in Santa Clara, N.Y., son of Nelson and Sarah (Roy) Peets and came to this town at an early age.  For several years he was employed by the Connor's Express and lately at Toto's, Smiths Ferry.  He leaves his wife, Mable (LaPier) Peets; a daughter, Mrs. Hildreth Delisle of this town; four sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth LaBelle of New York City, Mrs. Emma Hamel of Holyoke, Mrs. Harold Dickerson of Cohoes, N.Y., and Mrs. Erma LaFlamme of this town; three brothers, Ferdinand of Holyoke and John and Edward of New York City, and two grandchildren.  Funeral services under the direction of the Boucher funeral home, are incomplete.

Obituary:  Springfield Union (Springfield, MA), Wednesday, 12 November 1986:  Easthampton - Mabel M. (Lapier) Peets, 92, of 16 Pine St., a retired employee of the former J.P. Stevens Co., died Monday in The Cooley Dickinson Hospital, Northampton.  Born in Lyon Mountain, N.Y., she attended schools in Mountain View, N.Y., and had lived in Easthampton since 1923.  She was a communicant of Notre Dame Church and a life member of its St. Anne's Society.  She also was a member of the Dalton LaVallee American Legion Post 224 Women's Auxilliary.  Her husband, Harry Peets, died in 1950.  She leaves a daughter, Hildreth Hicks of Easthampton; two sisters, Etta Barcomb of Newark, N.Y., and Julia Mongeau of Paterson, N.J.; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.  The funeral will be today at Boucher Funeral Home and in the church with burial in St. Brigid's Cemetery.

Hildreth Mabel Peets:  Daily Hampshire Gazette (Northampton, MA), Monday, 24 January 1994:  Easthampton - Hildreth M. (Peets) Hicks, 70, of 34 Echo Lane, died Saturday in The Cooley Dickinson Hospital in Northampton.  Born in Easthampton on Sept. 20, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Mable (Lapier) Peets.  She lived in Easthampton all her life.  She had worked as a winder at the former J. P. Stevens Glendale Mills in Easthampton, retiring in 1967.  She was a member of the Notre Dame Church in Easthampton.  She was the president of the American Legion Dalton Lavallee Post 224 Women's Auxiliary in Easthampton and the Hampshire Salon 292 Chapeau 8/40.  She was a member of the executive board of the American Legion Auxiliary Department of Massachusetts District II and a volunteer at the U. S. Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Northampton.  She leaves two sons, Allen Delisle Jr. of Easthampton, and Ritt Hicks; a daughter, Jackie S. Blair of Easthampton; five grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.  A service held by the American Legion Women's Auxiliary Post 224 will be this evening at 7 p.m. at the Boucher Funeral Home in Easthampton.  The funeral will be held on Tuesday at 8:30 a.m. from the Boucher Funeral Home, with a Mass of Christian burial at 9:15 a.m. in the Notre Dame Church, both in Easthampton.  Burial will be in Brookside Cemetery in Easthampton.  Calling hours at the funeral home will be today from 7 to 9 p.m.
