MISC:  Daily Gazette (Schenectady, NY), Saturday, 19 March 1938:  Greenfield, Mass., March 18 - Arrested at the local railroad station for allegedly annoying a woman, Homer J. Pete, 17, and a younger brother, both of Plattsburg, N.Y., were held under a $100 bail each in District Court today on charges of vagrancy.  Homer entered a plea of guilty and the younger youth pleaded innocent.  Both cases were continued to Monday, on request of Police Sergeant James Burns, who said the police desired to check up on recent activities of the pair.

- Springfield Republican (Springfield, MA), Wednesday, 23 March 1938:  Thefts here of two bicycles which were pedaled to Greenfield and then sold brought two brothers before the court.  They were Homer Pete, 17, and Frazer Pete, 16, both of Plattsburg, N.Y., who admitted the charges of larceny.  The court placed them on probation with instructions that they were to be returned to the probation officer of Plattsburg.

- Transcript Telegram (Holyoke, MA), Monday, 14 Jan 1957:  Grand Jury Indictments - Homer G. Peterson, 35, of 15 Essex St. denied three charges of incest and three charges of abuse of a female child.

Obituary:  Union News (Springfield, MA), Friday, 30 September 1988:  Agawam - Pauline A. (Sorrell) Alfieri, 65, of 27 White Oaks Drive, Feeding Hills, died yesterday in Baystate Medical Center, Springfield.  Born in Altona, N.Y., she had lived in the Agawam area many years.  She was a member of Heritage Baptist Church, Springfield.  She leaves two sons, Harvey G. Peterson of Wales and Peter F. Peterson of Feeding Hills; four daughters, Constance A. Ramos and Marie E. Rogers, both of Springfield, Carol A. Talbot of Granby and Diane B. Miles of Tebbins, Mo.; two sisters, Rita Boulriss of Champlain, N.Y., and Marie Chalefou of Moores, N.Y.; 15 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. The funeral will be this afternoon at T.P. Sampson Co. Chapel of the Acres with burial in Hillcrest Park Cemetery, both in Springfield.

Obituary:  The Republican (Springfield, MA), Thursday, 30 December 1999:  Holyoke - Lucienne A. (Gelineau) Florence, 92, formerly of 76 Maple St., died Tuesday at a local nursing home.  She worked at the former Farr Alpaca Co. and in the housekeeping department of Holyoke Hospital for many years.  She was a teacher's aide at West Street School from 1975 to 1978, when she retired.  Born in St. Brigitte, Quebec, she came here as a girl.  She was a communicant of Immaculate Conception Church and belonged to its Ladies of St. Anne Society.  Her husband, Ralph Florence, died in 1962.  She leaves a brother, Marcel Y. Gelineau of Orlando, Fla.; and a sister, Gilberte E. Brent of Holyoke.  The funeral will be Friday morning at Dillon Funeral Home and in the church, with burial in Notre Dame Cemetery.  Calling hours are this evening.  Memorial contributions may be made to the church, Holyoke, MA.

Obituary:  Arizona Republic (Phoenix, AZ), Saturday, 26 April 1975:  Services for DeAnna Pete, 30, will be at 2 p.m. today in Memory Lawn Mortuary.  Burial will be in Memory Lawn Cemetery.  Mrs. Pete died Tuesday in a Dallas hospital after she was injured in an auto accident.  Survivors include her husband, Omer; children, Trellis, Samantha, Julius, Dale and Anthony; her mother, Mrs. Helen Comeau Carlson; and a grandmother.

Constance A. Peterson:  The Republican (Springfield, MA), Saturday, 22 December 2007:  Springfield - Constance A. Ramos, 67, died on Thursday in Baystate Medical Center.  A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, December 22, 2007 at 12 noon in St. Mary's Church, Longmeadow.  Wilbraham Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

 

Carol Ann Peterson:  Daily Hampshire Gazette (Northampton, MA), Thursday, 16 August 2007:  Easthampton - Carol A. Abbott, 64, of East Street, died Wednesday, Aug. 15, in her home.  She was born in Holyoke, April 14, 1943, the daughter of the late Homer and Pauline (Sorrel) Peterson.  She attended schools in Holyoke before coming to Easthampton.  Carol was a beautician, with her business in Hadley.  She is survived by her husband, Herschel G. Abbott; one daughter, Inga Cardin of Chicopee; two brothers, Harvey Peterson of Wales and Peter Peterson of Agawam; three sisters, Connie Ramos of Springfield, Dianne Miles of Missouri and Marie Rogers of Ludlow; and several nieces and nephews.  She is also survived by close friends, Scott Young of Easthampton and Louis and Margaret Farrick of Westhampton.  She enjoyed gardening and her pet birds and dog, Foxie.  Memorial services will be Saturday, Aug. 18, at 6 p.m. in the Mitchell Funeral Home, Easthampton.  There will be no visiting time at the funeral home.  Flowers are asked to be omitted and donations in her memory may be given to the Dana Farber Cancer Research Hospital, Boston, MA.

 

Dianne Beverly Peterson:  Jefferson City News-Tribune (MO), Sunday, 5 June 2016:  Dianne Beverly Miles, 71, of Jefferson City, died Thursday, June 2, 2016, at South Hampton Place in Columbia, Mo.  She was born on Aug. 13, 1944, in Holyoke, Mass.  She was married on May 28, 1964, in Chicopee, Mass., to Porter Leroy Miles who preceded her in death on March 17, 2012.  Mrs. Miles was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church.  She is survived by three children, Ruth Ann (Tim) DeMarco, of Ashland, Mo., John Miles, of Jefferson City, and Beverly Miles, of Jefferson City; nine grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; three grandchildren, Denem Lace DeMarco, Joseph Edward Michael Miles and William Lee Lenox; three sisters; and two brothers.  A prayer service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 11, 2016, at St. Peter Catholic.

 

Marie E. Peterson:  The Republican (Springfield, MA), Wednesday, 15 March 2017:  Marie E. (Peterson) Rogers, 70, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 9, at Wingate at Hampden with her beloved daughter, Jeannette at her side.  Family and friends are invited to gather directly on Monday, March 20, at 10 a.m. for Marie's committal service in the chapel at the Massachusetts Veterans' Memorial Cemetery, Agawam.  There are no calling hours.  Hafey Funeral Service has been entrusted with Marie's arrangements.
