Alice (Cor)delia Lepitre: The Newport Daily Express (Newport, VT), Monday, 20 July 1936: Alice C. Powers, 48 years of age, wife of Bede M. Powers, residing on Third street, passed away suddenly Saturday evening following a stroke of paralysis. Funeral services will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Tuesday morning at 9 o'clock. The deceased was born in Stanstead, Que., July 6, 1888, daughter of Matilda Uppe and George LaPetrie. She is survived by her husband, a mechanic at the Raymond Blake garage, also two daughters. Burial will take place in the Catholic cemetery.
