Obituary: Moncton, NB - Yvonne Pitre, 88, widow of first husband, Desire Cormier (1943), second husband Gilbert Pitre (1982), passed away at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital, Moncton, NB, on Saturday, November 9, 2002 after a brief illness. Born on April 19, 1914 in Sainte-Marie de Kent, NB, she was the daughter of the late Fidele Roy and Octavie LeBlanc. She was a house wife and attended Saint-Timothee Roman Catholic Church, Adamsville, NB. She is survived by three daughters, Leona Bongiovanni (Sal) of Garfield, N.J., Lucie Boldis (Frank) of Toms River, N.J., Anna Pitre of Coal Branch; step-daughters, Anna Arsenault (Jim), Kathleen Geneau both of Indian Mt.; one son, Gerald Cormier (Pat) of Moncton; one sister Corrine Roy of Waltham, Mass; one brother, Jean (Irene) of Minto; 21 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; several nephews and nieces. Predeceased by one son, Joseph; one step-son, Charlie; one step-granddaughter; Sharon; four sisters, Marie, Elise, Anita, Leona; eight brothers; Joseph, Antoine, Emile, Aurele, Aquilla, Albert, Joseph and Alphonse. Remains resting at Saint-Timothee Roman Catholic Church Slumber Room, Adamsville with visiting hours on Monday, November 11 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9, Tuesday from 9 to 10:45 am. Funeral Service to be held at Saint-Timothee Roman Catholic Church, Adamsville on Tuesday, November 12, 2002 at 11:00. Remains place in Parish Cemetery.

Kathleen Loretta Pitre: Fair Haven Funeral Home (NB): Kathleen Geneau of Moncton passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on November 2, 2014 at the age of 91. Born in Coal Branch, NB, February 19, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Gilbert and Emily (Spencer) Peters. Kathleen is survived by her children; Janet (Jerry) Belliveau, Pauline (Gordon) Chapman, Ronald (Natalie) Geneau, Michael Geneau, Brian Geneau and her sisters Annie (Jimmy) Arsenault and Anna Pitre. She is also survived by her two grandchildren, raised as her own, Charlotte (Glen) Betts and Lorena (Scott) MacKay, fourteen grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and her many nieces and nephews. Aside from her parents, Kathleen was predeceased by her loving husband of 58 years, Mellet Geneau, daughter Sharon Robinson and her brother Charlie Peters. In keeping with Kathleen’s wishes there will be no public visitation or funeral service, a private Graveside Service will take place at a later date. Interment will take place in Fair Haven Memorial Gardens. Donations in Kathleen’s memory may be made to Harvest House Atlantic, Moncton, NB. She was predeceased by: her parents, Gilbert Peters and Emily Peters (Spencer); her husband Jimmy; her siblings, Charlie and Kathleen; her former husband Laurie Gauvin; and her son Douglas 'Dougie'. She is survived by: her children, Gary Gauvin (Janet) of Gallagher Ridge, Cheryl Anne Arsenault of Lutes Mountain, Darlene Landry of Lutes Mountain and Daryl Arsenault (Kimberley) of Lutes Mountain; her grandchildren, Darren Gauvin (Tammy), Angie Bourque (René), Nicholas and William Arsenault; her great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Jacob, Carter, Brandon and Ryan; and her half-sister Anna Peters of Coal Branch. In memory of Annie, donations to the Royal Canadian Legion Branch No. 6 would be appreciated.
