Obituary: The Buffalo News (NY), Tuesday, 22 May 2001: GERALD J. PEETE, DIE SETTER, VETERAN: Gerald J. Peete, 80, who worked for 40 years as a die setter for Greif Brothers Corp. in Niagara Falls, died Monday (May 21, 2001) in St. Mary's Manor. He was born in Tupper Lake and moved to Niagara Falls at the age of 2, living here since then and attending local schools. Peete served in the Army during World War II and rose to the rank of master sergeant. He was a member of LaSalle Post 1142, American Legion, in Niagara Falls and the Forty & 8. Peete retired 17 years ago from Greif Brothers. His wife, Olive O'Brien Peete, died in 1996. Survivors include three sons, Gerald W. of Grand Island, Ronald J. of Folkston, Ga., and Frederick T. of Largo, Fla.; two daughters, Sue Ann Socko of Grand Island and Denise M. Sicoli of Lewiston; three brothers, Robert of Sanborn, Raymond of Cambria and Richard of Silver Lake; four sisters, Veronica Brown and Elizabeth Landers, both of Lewiston, Shirley Hiddie of Youngstown and Mary Jacoby of California; 19 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in Lane Funeral Home, Inc., Niagara Falls. Private burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Lewiston.

Obituary: The Buffalo News (NY), Saturday, 16 November 1996: Olive Delene Peete of Debbie Drive, a sales clerk for the former King's Department Store for 17 years, died Friday (Nov. 15, 1996) in Mount St. Mary's Hospital, Lewiston. The former Olive O'Brien, 76, was born in this city and was a member of Post 1142 LaSalle American Legion Ladies Auxiliary for many years. Survivors include her husband, Gerald J.; three sons, Ronald J. of Folkston, Ga., Frederick T. of Wilson and Gerald W.; two daughters, Sue Ann Socko of Grand Island and Denise M. Sicoli of Lewiston; a brother, Ernest of San Diego; four sisters, Bessie Flynn of Buffalo, Juanita Pulcher of Hudson, Vesta Fiacco of Tucson, Ariz., and Fay Fiero; 21 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in Lane Funeral Home, Inc., 8622 Buffalo Ave. {Milleville}.

of Folkston passed away October 24, 2015 at his residence. He was born
April 10, 1946 to Gerald and Olive O’Brien Peete in Niagara Falls, New
York. He served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam
Conflict. He was a member of the American Legion Post #130 and St. Francis
of Assisi. He is survived by his wife of 50 years: Annette L. Peete
of Folkston; two children: Chris (Amy) Peete and Veronica (Andy) Barrett;
one brother: Jerry Peete; two sisters: Sue Ann Socko and Denise Peete;
three grandchildren: Ryan C. Peete, Brody A. Barrett and Tyler H. Peete;
several nieces, nephews and other relatives. He was preceded in death by a
brother: Fred Peete. The family will receive friends Tuesday
evening, October 27, 2015 from 6 until 8 PM with a Rosary beginning at 7:30 at
the funeral home. Funeral services will be Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at
11:00 AM at St. Francis of Assisi. Burial will follow in Homeland
Cemetery. The family requests, in lieu of flowers, contributions be made
to the American Legion or the American Heart Association. Arrangements are
under the direction of Shepard Funeral Home, Folkston, Georgia.
