Obituary:  Mobile Register (Mobile, AL), Saturday, 2 March 1974:  Mr. Gaston Bryan Pitre Sr. - A native of Lutcher, La., and a resident of Mobile for the past year.  He was a member of St. Dominic's Catholic Church and was a member of the Pioneers of Southern Bell Telephone Company.  He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Marion J. Key Pitre of Mobile; three daughters, Mrs. Wayne J. (Marion) Anderton of Pensacola, Fla., Mrs. Ronald K. (Janet) Pederson, of Mobile; and Miss Barbara Ann Pitre of Mobile; one son, Gaston Bryan Pitre Jr., of Huntsville, Ala.; three sisters, Mrs. Lula Armstrong and Miss Marie Pitre both of New Orleans, La. and Mrs. Rita Portney of Dallas, Texas; one brother, Woodrow Pitre of Lafayette, La.; four grandchildren and one great-grandson and other relatives.  The family will receive friends after 4 p.m. Saturday, March 2, 1974, at Belmany Funeral Home, after which his remains will be sent to New Orleans.  The Rosary will be said Saturday, March 2, 1974, at 1 p.m. followed by entombment in Hope Mausoleum, St. John's Cemetery, New Orleans.  The family will receive friends in New Orleans at Jacob-Schoen Funeral Home, after 4 p.m. Sunday.  Local funeral arrangements by Belmany Funeral Home, Mobile, Ala.

Pitre Jr.; brother of Mrs. Lula Armstrong, Marie Pitre, Mrs. Rita Portney and Woodrow Pitre; also survived by 4 grandchildren and 1 great-grandson; age 71 years; a native of Lutcher, La., and a resident of New Orleans for 40 years.  Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral services from the funeral home of Jacob Schoen and Son Inc., 2827 Canal St. at N. Scott on Monday, March 4, 1974 at 12:45 o'clock p.m. with Requiem Mass at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church.  Interment in Hope Mausoleum.  Friends may call after 6 p.m. Sunday.

Obituary:  The Mobile Press (Mobile, AL), Friday, 24 May 1996:  Mrs. Marion Josephine Pitre - A native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Mobile, AL for the past 31 years died at a local hospital on Thursday, May 23, 1996.  She was a member of St. Domonic Catholic Church.  She is survived by four children, Mr. Bryan Pitre of Huntsville, AL, Mrs. Marion (Wayne) Anderton of Pensacola, FL, Mrs. Janet Pedersen of Birmingham, AL and Mrs. Barbara (Max, Sr.) Mazzarella of Mobile, AL; one brother, Mr. Robert (Joyce) Keys of Manderville, LA; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and other relatives.  Funeral services will be held at the graveside on Saturday, May 25, 1996 at 1:00 p.m.  Visitation will be at the funeral home on Friday, May 24, 1996 from 5:30-8:00 p.m.  Entombment will be in Hope Mausoleum in New Orleans, LA.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.  Funeral arrangements by Roche-Belmany-Herrington Funeral Home, Mobile, AL.

Gaston Bryan Pitre:  The Huntsville Times (AL), Tuesday, 1 April 1997:  Gaston Bryan Pitre Jr., 67, of Huntsville died Sunday at his home.  Funeral arrangements will be announced by Spry Funeral Home.  Survivors include two sons, Louis Pitre of Huntsville and Dennis B. Pitre of Baton Rouge, La.; three sisters, Marion Anderton of Pensacola, Fla., Janet Pederson of Birmingham and Barbara Mazzarella of Mobile; and three grandchildren.

 

Marion Pitre:  Pensacola News Journal (Pensacola, FL), Sunday, 23 March 2008:  Marion P. Anderton, 76, of Milton died Saturday, March 22, 2008.  Visitation: 10 a.m. Monday in the Chapel of Peace Mausoleum in Bayview Memorial Park until services begin at 11 a.m.  Bayview Fisher-Pou is handling the arrangements.
