Obituary: Mobile Register (Mobile, AL), Saturday, 2 March 1974: Mr. Gaston Bryan Pitre Sr. - A native of Lutcher, La., and a resident of Mobile for the past year. He was a member of St. Dominic's Catholic Church and was a member of the Pioneers of Southern Bell Telephone Company. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Marion J. Key Pitre of Mobile; three daughters, Mrs. Wayne J. (Marion) Anderton of Pensacola, Fla., Mrs. Ronald K. (Janet) Pederson, of Mobile; and Miss Barbara Ann Pitre of Mobile; one son, Gaston Bryan Pitre Jr., of Huntsville, Ala.; three sisters, Mrs. Lula Armstrong and Miss Marie Pitre both of New Orleans, La. and Mrs. Rita Portney of Dallas, Texas; one brother, Woodrow Pitre of Lafayette, La.; four grandchildren and one great-grandson and other relatives. The family will receive friends after 4 p.m. Saturday, March 2, 1974, at Belmany Funeral Home, after which his remains will be sent to New Orleans.
