Pitre; stepfather of Mrs. June Hahn, Mrs. Shirley Antonini and Vernon Malter; also survived by 10 grandchildren; age 72 years; a native of Thibodaux and a resident of Jefferson Parish for the past 15 years.  Relatives and friends of the family and employees of Texas and Pacific Railroads, are invited to attend the funeral services from Schoen Funeral Home of Jefferson and Company, 2310 Hickory Avenue at Sauve Road on Tuesday, May 11, 1976 at 10 o'clock a.m. with Requiem Mass at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church.  Interment in Garden of Memories.  Friends may call after 6 p.m. Monday, May 10.

(Whitty) Malter; sister of Mrs. Ethel McCullough, William and Albert Rooney and the late Mrs. M. Haney, also survived by six grandchildren; age 59 years; a native of New Orleans, La., and a resident of Metairie, La. for the past three years.  Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral.  Services from the funeral home of Jacob Schoen and Son, Inc., 3827 Canal Street at North Scott on Saturday, May 29, 1965 at 9:15 o'clock a.m.  Interment in Masonic Cemetery.

Graham, sister of Mrs. Norman Rome (Josephine), the late Gaston, Isrel, and Folger Louque; also survived by 3 grandchildren Jacquelyn Fonte, Gregory Fullmer, and Rachel Franz, and 3 great-grandchildren.  Relatives and friends of the family, also employees of William B. Reily Coffee Company, are invited to attend the funeral.  Services from the Jefferson Home of Tharp-Sontheimer-Tharp, 1600 North Causeway Blvd. on Thursday, April 22, 1982 at 10:45 a.m. followed by Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church, 6425 West Metairie Avenue.  Interment in Garden of Memories Mausoleum.  Visitation on Wednesday evening, April 21, 1982 at 6:30 o'clock.

George Albert Pitre:  Weekly Town Talk (Alexandria, LA), Saturday, 5 September 1931:  Pitre - At the family residence, 30 Ninth street, Alexandria, La., at 2:45 o'clock p.m., Monday, August 31, 1931, George Albert Pitre, Jr., 4-tear-old son of Mr. and Mrs. George Albert Pitre.  Funeral services were conducted at the family residence at 11 o'clock Tuesday morning by the Rev. Dr. E. E. Colvin, pastor of the Calvary Baptist Church, with interment in Greenwood Memorial Park, Pineville, under direction of the John Kramer & Son Funeral Home.  Pall-bearers were Raymond, Eugene and Normand Pitre, and F. F. Wood.


Harold Ray Pitre:  Baton Rouge Advocate (LA), Thursday, 7 April 2016 - Harold Ray Pitre passed away peacefully on April 3, 2016 after a long and courageous battle with cancer.  He was born in Alexandria, LA on June 27, 1933.  He was a resident of St. Francisville, where he was a member of First Baptist Church and was a long time member of Foster Road Baptist Church in Baton Rouge and served as Deacon.  After graduating from Istrouma High School in 1952, he served his country during the Korean War as a Navy Ceremonial Guard in Washington DC.  Harold retired from Exxon Mobil with 40 years of service.  During that time, he was a Boy Scout Leader, refereed high school ball games and held a real estate and insurance license.  Harold was a 57 year member of the International Lions Club having achieved the status of District Governor.  He was currently serving as President of the Lake Shore Club.  He enjoyed LSU basketball games and playing golf and was a member of The Bluffs Golf Resort.  Harold is survived by his wife of 63 years, Shirley Day Pitre; and his five daughters and son in laws, Lou Ann and Dr. Jerry Thomas of Franklinton, Susan and Richard Love of Central, Karen and Jimmy Miller of Greensburg, Laura and Jerry Jones of Clinton and Carol and Todd Campbell of Baker, his grandsons, Dr. Jason Thomas, Pete Thomas, Lander Thomas, Jim Miller, Christopher Jones, Jarred Jones and Wyatt Campbell, granddaughters, Cathy Mason, Jennifer Wilkinson, Joanna Thomas and Morgan Campbell and his great-grandchildren, Jon-Ashton, Cole, Jesse, Connor, Hunter, Lily, Abrie, Landry, Katelynn, Evelyn and Rush.  He is also survived by a brother, Tommy Brister.  Harold was preceded in death by parents, Lillie Pitre Brister and George Albert Pitre, brothers, George Pitre, Jr., and Robert E. Pitre and grandson, Jonathan Love.  Pallbearers will be his seven grandsons.  Visitation will be at Charlet Funeral Home, Inc., Zachary on Sunday, April 10, 2016 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm and on Monday, April 11, 2016 from 10:00 am until service time at 11:30 am conducted by Bro. Scott Owens.  A 12:30 pm graveside service will follow at Louisiana National Cemetery in Zachary.

Robert Edgar Pitre:  Advocate (Baton Rouge, LA), Tuesday, 13 December 2005:  Pitre, R.E. - A retired manager in retail sales, he died Friday, Dec. 9, 2005, at his home in Baton Rouge. He was 69, a native of Alexandria and a U.S. Army veteran.  Visiting at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd., from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 13, and on Wednesday, Dec. 14, from 8 a.m. until religious service in the chapel at 10 a.m., conducted by Eddie White.  Interment in Greenoaks Memorial Park.  He is survived by his wife, Patricia E. Pitre; daughter, Teresa Cantu and husband Mark; son, Chris Pitre; two brothers, Harold Ray Pitre and wife Shirley and Tommy Brister and wife Pam; and two grandchildren, Corey and Caroline Cantu; two brothers-in-law, Jim Forsee and Eldon Forsee; and numerous nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents, George Albert Pitre Sr. and Lillie Goodman Brister; brother, George Albert Pitre Jr.; and stepfather, Walter Ray Brister.  Pallbearers will be Chris Pitre, Corey Cantu, Harold Ray Pitre, Tommy Brister, Jim Forsee and Bob Tate.  Honorary pallbearers are Eldon Forsee and T.H. George S. Pitre:  Times Picayune (New Orleans, LA), Monday, 20 March 2017:  George S. Pitre passed away on Sunday, March 19, 2017 at the age of 72.  Beloved husband of Darnell T. Pitre for 52 years.  Father of Sharon P. Dubret (Andre), Stacie P. Dufrene (Chris), and Nicole P. Kieffer (Jeffry).  Son of the late Gertrude and George Pitre.  Brother of the late Vernon Malter, Shirley Antonini, June Hahn, Raymond and Harold Pitre.  Grandfather of Anthony, Amanda, Zachary, Madison, Cade, and Caleb.  He was a parishioner of Visitation of Our Lady Catholic Church having served as a Eucharistic minister.  He was a native of New Orleans, LA. and a resident of Marrero, LA for the past 47 years.  Relatives and Friends of the family, also members of Knights of Columbus St. Thomas More Council No, 7226 are invited to attend the Funeral Mass in the chapel of Mothe Funeral Home, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at 1pm.  Interment, Our Lady of Prompt Succor Gate of Heaven Mausoleum.  Visitation will be held Saturday morning from 10am until 1pm.  In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to either the American Lung Association or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
