Charles Frederick Peters: Bangor Daily News, Monday, 21 May 2012: Old Town - Charles Frederick Peters, 72, died peacefully Saturday, May 19, 2012, at Bangor health care facility after a brief illness. He was born Sept 5, 1939, in Old Town, son of George A. and Mildred M. (Nadeau) Peters. He was a lifelong resident of Old Town and attended Old Town schools. Throughout the years, he worked for H.E. Sargent, The Penobscot Times, and James W. Sewall Co., where he worked for more than 35 years as a surveyor, darkroom technician, aerial photographer and pilot. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping with his family and friends, and spent many special weeks at the Sewall camp at Millimagassett Lake. For many years he took great pride in the amazing vegetable garden that once was tended by his father. He enjoyed playing a good game of cribbage and joining his friends for coffee at Burger King. He is survived by his daughter, Linda (Peters) Lelansky and husband, Evan, of Windham; son, John Peters and wife, Amber, of Veazie; grandson, Eric Lelansky of Portland; as well as aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He is also survived by a special friend, Gayle Crowley. Along with his parents, he was predeceased by six sisters, Pauline Crowther, Shirley Mercereau, Priscilla Taylor, Norma Chiriboga, Nancy McGinn and Carol Ann Peters; and two brothers, Eugene Peters and Raymond Peters. Special thanks to Sadie and Danielle of Amedisys Home Health; the caring staff at Ross Manor Waterman Skilled Services; and his housekeeper, Cathy Avery.
