Obituary:  Bangor Daily News (Bangor, ME), Saturday, 22 May 1982:  Old Town - George A. Peters, 81, of 449 North Main St., died May 21, 1982, at a Bangor hospital after a long illness.  He was born in Old Town, July 22, 1900, the son of Steven and Pauline (Gallant) Peters.  He was employed 50 years by the Diamond International Corp. and was associated with the Old Town Water District for more than nine years.  He was also a former city councilman, a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church and a member of the Fr. Druilette Council, Knights of Columbus, of Old Town.  He is survived by his wife, Mildred (Nadeau) Peters of Old Town; four daughters, Pauline Crowther of Millinocket, Priscilla Taylor of Fairfax, Va., Shirley Mercereau of Natick, Mass., and Nancy McGinn of Framingham, Mass.; three sons, Eugene of Oregon, Charles and Raymond, both of Old Town; 11 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Old Town.  Interment will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery.  Friends may call at the LaBeau Funeral Home, Orono, 7-9 p.m. Saturday and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday.

Peters, 87, wife of the late George Peters, died July 19, 1991, at a Bangor hospital.  She was born April 28, 1904, at Old Town, the daughter of Jules and Agnes (King) Nadeau.  She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church of Old Town and a member of the Daughters of Isabella.  She is survived by two daughters, Pauline Crowther of Bangor and Priscilla Taylor of Fairfax, Va.; two sons, Eugene Peters of Las Vegas, Nev., and Charles Peters of Old Town; three sisters, Arlene Jordan of Bangor, Regina Ware of Orono and Ruth Leavitt of Old Town; one brother, Edward Nadeau of Connecticut; 11 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by three daughters, Nancy McGinn, Norma Chiraboga and Shirley Mercereau; and by one son, Raymond Peters.  Friends may call at the Kiley-Birmingham Funeral Home, Old Town, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Old Town.  Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.

Pauline Agnes Peters:  The Bangor Daily News (Bangor, ME), Friday, 25 May 2001:  Old Town - Agnes Pauline (Peters) Crowther, 76, died peacefully May 23, 2001, at a Lincoln hospital.  Pauline was born in Old Town, June 30, 1924, the daughter of the late George A. and Mildred (Nadeau) Peters.  She graduated from Old Town High School and worked several years as a secretary for a Bangor law firm.  Pauline was an avid reader and also enjoyed writing poetry.  She is survived by two sons, William Harris and Michael Copp; a grandson, Brady Harris; a special granddaughter, Hope Copp; a sister, Priscilla Taylor of Charles Town, W. Va.; two brothers, Eugene Peters of Russellville, Ark. and Charles Peters of Old Town; several nieces and nephews.  Pauline was predeceased by her parents, her husband, Erlon Crowther, four sisters, Carol Ann Peters, Norma Chiriboga, Nancy McGinn and Shirley Mercereau and one brother, Raymond Peters.  Interment will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Old Town.  A Memorial Mass at Holy Family Parish will be announced at a later date.  Those who wish may donate to a charity of choice or Ronald McDonald House, Bangor.  Arrangements with Clay Funeral Home.

Norma Peters:  Bangor Daily News (Bangor, ME), Saturday, 17 October 1981:  Old Town and Bethesda, Maryland - Norma (Peters) Chiriboga, 50, died Oct. 14, 1981, following a long illness.  She was born in Old Town, Dec. 23, 1930, the daughter of George and Mildred (Nadeau) Peters.  Besides her parents of Old Town, she is survived by one daughter, Dianna Chiriboga of Bethesda, Md.; four sisters, Pauline Crowther of Millinocket, Priscilla Taylor of Fairfax, Va., Shirley Mercereau of Natick, Mass. and Nancy McGinn of Framingham, Mass.; three brothers, Charles Peters of Old Town, Eugene Peters and Raymond Peters; several nieces and nephews.  Funeral services will be held at Gawlers Funeral Home in Washington, D.C. and the Church of Little Flower October 19, 1981.

Carol Ann Peters:  Bangor Commercial (ME), Thursday, 25 April 1935:  The sympathy of many friends will be tendered Mr. and Mrs. George A. Peters in the death Wednesday evening of their baby, Carol Ann Peters, aged almost seven months.  As she died of a contagious disease, the interment at Forest Hill cemetery Thursday morning, was private.

 

Nancy Patricia Peters:  Bangor Daily News (Bangor, ME), Thursday, 28 June 1990:  Old Town and Framingham, Mass. - Nancy P. McGinn, 53, died June 24, 1990, at a Framingham hospital after a long illness.  She was born in Old Town, July 30, 1936, the daughter of George and Mildred (Nadeau) Peters.  She was a resident of Framingham for several years, where she had been employed as a secretary.  She is survived by her mother of Old Town; two sisters, Pauline Crowther of Bangor and Priscilla Taylor of Fairfax, Va.; two brothers, Eugene Peters of Las Vegas, Nev., and Charles Peters of Milford; a special niece, Linda Peters; several other nieces and nephews.  A memorial Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Old Town, with the Rev. Norman MacPherson, S.S.S., celebrant.  Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Old Town.  There will be no visiting hours.  Those who wish may make donations in her memory to the Ronald McDonald House, Bangor.  Arrangements by the Kiley-Birmingham Funeral Home, Old Town.

 

Charles Frederick Peters:  Bangor Daily News (Bangor, ME), Monday, 21 May 2012:  Old Town - Charles Frederick Peters, 72, died peacefully Saturday, May 19, 2012, at Bangor health care facility after a brief illness.  He was born Sept 5, 1939, in Old Town, son of George A. and Mildred M. (Nadeau) Peters.  He was a lifelong resident of Old Town and attended Old Town schools.  Throughout the years, he worked for H.E. Sargent, The Penobscot Times, and James W. Sewall Co., where he worked for more than 35 years as a surveyor, darkroom technician, aerial photographer and pilot.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping with his family and friends, and spent many special weeks at the Sewall camp at Millimagassett Lake.  For many years he took great pride in the amazing vegetable garden that once was tended by his father.  He enjoyed playing a good game of cribbage and joining his friends for coffee at Burger King.  He is survived by his daughter, Linda (Peters) Lelansky and husband, Evan, of Windham; son, John Peters and wife, Amber, of Veazie; grandson, Eric Lelansky of Portland; as well as aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.  He is also survived by a special friend, Gayle Crowley.  Along with his parents, he was predeceased by six sisters, Pauline Crowther, Shirley Mercereau, Priscilla Taylor, Norma Chiriboga, Nancy McGinn and Carol Ann Peters; and two brothers, Eugene Peters and Raymond Peters.  Special thanks to Sadie and Danielle of Amedisys Home Health; the caring staff at Ross Manor Waterman Skilled Services; and his housekeeper, Cathy Avery.  A memorial service with a memorial reception will begin 2 p.m. Saturday, June 2, at Birmingham Funeral Home, 438 Main St., Old Town.  Contributions in Charlie's memory may be made to a charity of one's choice.

Peters, 41, died June 28, 1984, at a Togus hospital after a brief illness.  He was born in Old Town, Sept. 20, 1942, the son of George A, and Mildred (Nadeau) Peters.  He was employed by S.E. MacMillan Co. of Veazie and was a veteran of the Vietnam Era, having served in the U.S. Army in Korea.  Besides his mother of Old Town, he is survived by four sisters, Pauline Crowther of Millinocket, Priscilla Taylor of Fairfax, Va., Shirley Mercereau of Natick, Mass., and Nancy McGinn of Framingham, Mass.; two brothers, Eugene Peters of Wyoming and Charles F. Peters of Old Town; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.  He was predeceased by one sister, Norma Chiriboga.  A memorial Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Old Town.  There will be no visiting hours.  Donations in his memory may be made to the Ronald McDonald House, Bangor.  Arrangements by Kiley-Birmingham Funeral Home.
