MISC:  Democrat and Chronicle (Rochester, NY), Monday, 27 September 1954:  The clap of thunder and flash of a lightning bolt which crashed nearby disconcerted a motorist and led him to drive into a collision that injured six persons yesterday afternoon in Trabold Road near Buffalo Road, Gates police reported.......The second car was operated by Mrs. Soucie's husband, Feeley A. Soucie, 44.  He suffered face cuts, and knee and chest injuries.  Also injured were Gary LaShomb, 24, of 56 Clearview Rd., Greece, with cuts on both legs; his wife, Anna Mae LaShomb, 23, with a cut lip; and their son, Dale LaShomb, 3, with a slight head injury.  The LaShombs were passengers in the Soucie car.

 

Obituary:  Democrat and Chronicle (Rochester, NY), Sunday, 28 February 2021:  Gary Albert LaShomb.  Naples - age 91 passed away Jan. 7, 2021.  Gary is survived by his loving wife of 70 years Annamae; his sons Dale and Kevin (Janet); grandchildren Ryan (Carly), Jason (Maria); great-grandchildren, Jonah, Owen and Annamaria.  Gary dedicated many years to the Explorer Scouts in Rush.  His years of involvement included many trips, including several to Philmont Scout Rand.  Gary started working for General Foods at the age of 17 and retired from there in 1984.  He and Annamae then enjoyed traveling in their motorhome.  He was a very loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.  Due to Covid, we will wait and have a celebration of Gary's life this summer in Naples, NY.
