Obituary:  The Moncton Transcript (Moncton, NB), Tuesday, 21 October 1969:  The death of Firmin Pitre of Tipperary Street, Shediac occurred at the St. Joseph Home, Shediac on Monday following a brief illness.  He was 76.  Born in Prince Edward Island, he was the son of the late Hylaire and Marie (Gallant) Pitre.  He attanded St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church.  He is survived by his wife, the former Laudiame Leger; two daughters, Mrs. Yvon Caissie (Beatrice) Shediac and Mrs. Norman Despres (Elizabeth), Coal Lake, Alta.; three sons, Camille, Shediac, Leo, Chatham and Donald, Fitchburg, Mass.; 16 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.  The body is resting at Frenette's funeral home, Shediac with funeral service Thursday at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church at 9 a.m.

Obituary:  The Times Transcript (Moncton, NB), Monday, 9 May 1994:  Shediac - Mrs. Lodianne Pitre, 93, of Villa Providence, Shediac and formerly of Tipperary Street, passed away on Sunday, May 8, 1994 at her residence.  Born in Saint Andre on April 24, 1901, she was a daughter of the late Ephrem and Zelica (LeBlanc) Leger.  She attended the St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Shediac.  She is survived by her two daughters, Beatrice (Yvon Caissie) of Shediac, Elizabeth (Normand Despres) of Napanee, Ont.; three sons, Camille (Eveline Despres) and Leo (Germaine Leger) both of Shediac, Donald (Clarice Hebert) of Fitchburg, Mass.; two sisters, Elise Bourque and Marguerite Doucette all of Shediac, 16 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her husband, Firmin Pitre in 1969; two brothers, Dolor and Gerard; one sister, Elizabeth.  Resting at La maison funeraire Frenette Ltee, Shediac with visiting hours on Sunday, May 8, 1994 from 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday, May 9, 1994 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.  Funeral mass will be held at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Shediac on Tuesday, May 10, 1994 at 10 a.m.  Interment in Parish Cemetery.

Camille Peters:  The Times Transcript (Moncton, NB), Monday, 27 September 2010:  (photo) Camille Peters, 84, formerly of Tipperary St., Shediac passed away on Saturday, September 25, 2010 at the Villa Providence, Shediac.  Born in Shediac, February 26, 1926, he was the son of the late Firmin and Lodianne (Leger) Peters.  A World War II Veteran, Camille served with the Canadian Armed Forces in New Brunswick.  Prior to his retirement, he was a Commissionaire at the Moncton Airport.  He was a member of the Shediac Golden Age Club and loved bowling, darts and cards.  Camille is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Evelyne (Despres) Peters of Shediac, two sons: Ronald of Anagance, Daniel (Debbie) of Shediac, daughter Suzanne Bourque (Albert Duguay) of Moncton, four grandchildren: Mitchum and Isabelle Peters and Chantal and Lise Bourque, seven great-grandchildren, two brothers: Leo Pitre (Germaine) of Shediac, Donald Pitre of Fitchburg, Mass.; two sisters: Beatrice Caissie (Yvon) and Elizabeth Despres (Normand) both of Shediac, and by many nieces and nephews.  He is predeceased by an infant sister Therese.  In keeping with his wishes, there will be no visitation at the funeral home.  Funeral mass will be held at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Shediac on Tuesday, September 28, 2010 at 11:30 a.m.  Funeral arrangements entrusted to Frenette Funeral Home Ltd., Shediac.

 

Marie Marguerite Beatrice Pitre:  The Times Transcript (Moncton, NB), Thursday, 18 August 2011:  (photo)  Caissie, Beatrice, 1927 - 2011: The death of Beatrice Caissie of Villa Providence Shediac occurred on August 16, 2011.  Born in Moncton on July 4, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Firmin and Lodianne (Leger) Pitre.  She is survived by three daughters; Diane Gallant (Raymond) of Dieppe, Lillianne Vautour (Daniel) of Shediac and Mona Caissie of Shediac, three sons; Roger (Julie) of Dartmouth, NS, Bernard (Debbie) of Moncton and Guy (Heather) of Drum Heller AB.  She will be greatly missed by four grandchildren, Marc, Tania, Richard and Mattieu as well as four great-grandchildren, Stephen, Cody, Mason and Caleb.  She will also be sadly missed by her sister Elizabeth (Normand) Despres, two brothers; Leo (Germaine) Pitre and Donald Pitre.  Besides her parents, Beatrice was predeceased by her husband Yvon (April 2011), daughter Noella and one brother Camille Pitre.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph RC Church, Shediac on Saturday, August 20, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. followed by a reception at the Pastoral Center.  Memorial donations in Beatrice's memory may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.  Arrangements entrusted with Fair Haven Funeral Home, Moncton.

 

Elizabeth Pitre:  The Times Transcript (Moncton, NB), Friday, 11 September 2015:  (photo)  Elizabeth Despres, 84, of Villa Providence in Shediac, formerly of Webster Street, Shediac, passed away at her residence on September 9th, 2015.  Born in Shediac on February 20th, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Firmin and Lodiane (Leger) Pitre.  She is survived by her spouse of 62 years Norman; one daughter: Noella (Robert) Bierma of Newbury, ON; three sons: Michel (Liz), Claude (Marion) all of Napanee, ON, Rheal (Sue) Cousins of Kingston, ON; two brothers: Leo (Germaine) Pitre of Shediac, Donald (Linda) Pitre of Athol, Mass.; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.  She was predeceased by an infant daughter Norma; by two sisters: Therese, Beatrice and by one brother, Camille Peters.  The funeral will be held at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, Shediac on Monday, September 14th, 2015 at 10:30 a.m.  Visitations will be from 9:30 till time of chapel service.  In memory of Elizabeth, a contribution to Villa Providence Volunteers would be appreciated.
