Obituaries for the children:
Jeremie Pitre: The Bangor Daily News (Bangor, ME), Monday, 4 November 1940: Orono, Nov. 3 - Jerry Leroy Peters, 51, died Saturday at a Bangor hospital after ten weeks' illness. Born in Island Falls, the son of Andrew and Kathleen Curley Peters, the deceased came to Orono about 45 years ago, since which time he has resided here. For the past 28 years he has been employed as a millwright at the International paper mill in this town. A man of sterling character, he was highly respected by his employers. He was recognized as a kindly neighbor, a loving father and husband, and will be greatly missed by his many friends and associates. Surviving are his wife, Alice Alexander Peters; two daughters, Rita Peters and Mrs. Frances Dore; and one granddaughter, Elaine Dore, all of Orono; two brothers, John and William Peters of Newark, N.J. and one sister, Miss Anna Peters of Island Falls. Mr. Peters was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, from where funeral services will be held Wednesday morning at 9 o'clock. Interment will be at Riverside.
