Obituary:  Plattsburgh Press-Republican, Tuesday, 2 March 1954: Lyon Mountain:  Frank Peets, 67, of East Rochester, N.Y., died here last night.  He had been a guest at the home of his daughter.  Funeral services will be held Thursday at 10 a.m., at St. Bernard's Church, and the body will be placed in the vault at the church cemetery. Peets was born in Ellenburg, son of the late Frank and Amelia (Bruso) Peets.  He is survived by his wife, Addie J. Trombley Peets, whom he married 47 years ago in this village.  The couple has three children, Mrs. Richard Myer of Walworth, N. Y., Mrs. Richard Garrow of Lyon Mountain, and Edward Peets of Fairport, N.Y. Survivors also include a sister, Mrs. Carl Ashline of Merrill, N.Y., and three brothers, Prosper of Fairport, N.Y., and Dennis and Delor of East Rochester.  Peets had recently retired from the MDT carshops in East Rochester.  The body is at the home of Richard Garrow.

Obituary:  Fairport Herald Mail, 8 January 1969:  Funeral services were held at the Harloff Funeral Home and from St. Jerome's Church, East Rochester, Tuesday morning for Mrs. Addie J. Peets of 12 Packet Boat Drive, who died January 4, 1969. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Erma Meyer and Mrs. Richard (Burnis) Garrow of Fairport; two brothers, Delor Tremblay and Edward Tremblay of Williamantic, Conn.; four sisters, Mrs. Emma Flynn and Miss Louise Tremblay of Rochester, Mrs. Agnes Dube of Conway, New Hampshire, Mrs, Alma Vivaldi of North Adams, Mass; three grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.  Interment in St. Bernards Cemetery, Lyon Mountain, New York, at the convenience of the family.

Meyer, Nov. 22, 1982.  She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Burnis and Richard Garrow of Fairport; 2 nieces and 1 nephew, Carol Harkness, Merritt Peets and Lynn Pantycofe; and her very close friend, Mary Alice Nunemaker.  A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Bernard's Church in Lyon Mt., NY.  Interment in St. Bernard's Cemetery.  Contributions to the Cancer Fund in her memory will be appreciated.  Arrangements by the Harloff Funeral Home.

Burnis (Bernice) Velma Peets:  Plattsburgh Press Republican, Friday, 10 October 2008:  Lyon Mountain - Burnis Velma Garrow, 95, formerly of Lyon Mountain, died Saturday, Oct. 4, 2008, at LeRoy Village Green Nursing Home, LeRoy, N.Y.  Born in Lyon Mountain, N.Y., on Feb. 14, 1913, she was the daughter of Frank and Addie (Tromblaey) Peets.  She was married to Richard "Casey" Garrow on July 3, 1949, in St. Bernard's Church, Lyon Mountain.  He predeceased her on Sept. 27, 1986.  Mrs. Garrow lived in Fairport, N.Y., and worked at the Fairport Baptist Home as food supervisor for 16 1/2 years, retiring in 1974.  Upon their retirement, they moved to Ellenburg Center, where they lived for five years.  She lived at Mountain Top Housing, Lyon Mountain, beginning in October 1990, until she moved to LeRoy in 2003.  She was a communicant of St. Bernard's Church, Lyon Mountain, a member of the Pioneer Club, Ellenburg and Senior Citizen groups in Lyon Mountain, Ellenburg and Saranac.  Mrs. Garrow is survived by a foster daughter, Mary Alice Nunemaker of Waterloo, N.Y.; and several nieces and nephews.  Besides her husband, she was predeceased by her parents; a brother, Edward Peets; and a sister, Irma Meyers.  A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 13, in St. Bernard's Church, Lyon Mountain, with the Rev. Ted Crosby officiating.  Burial will take place in the parish cemetery.  Donations in her memory may be made to St. Bernard's Church, Lyon Mountain, or Mountain Top Housing.  Arrangements are with the Chateaugay Funeral Home.
